Love Hard: Ending Explained
Josh has a distorted idea of masculinity in his head, which his family apparently instills in him. Owen, Josh’s brother, is a show-off, and when Josh and Natalie’s duo steal the show at Lin Family vocals with their angelic performance, Owen takes the opportunity to announce the pregnancy of his wife, Chelsea. Following Natalie’s advice, Josh tries to get past Owen and asks for Natalie’s hand.
On the spur of the moment, Natalie says yes to Josh, but she is furious. Josh admits he got a little carried away while assuring Natalie that the pact is still in effect. When Josh argues that everything about him is real other than the photos on Flirt Alert, Natalie dismisses it as fictional. She goes bobsled with Tag and scared, she uses the joint the taxi driver gave her.
Meanwhile, Josh’s family is throwing a pre-wedding party, and it’s too much for Natalie. To make matters worse, Tag is present at the scene, along with Lee. They try to control the damage for a while, but Josh backs out soon after. At boiling point, Natalie divulges everything in a short speech.
She flees to the airport after leaving a memo for Josh, but the flights are canceled. She ends up in the local lodge where Lee is staying, and after receiving a moral boost from Lee, Natalie returns to the Lin’s, where she proposes to Josh. With Bibio’s “Curls” in the background, she proposes to Josh. The couple kiss, and as Natalie’s voice suggests in the background, it’s the beginning of their love.
Regarding Tag’s fate and despite what Josh says, Tag comes across as a moderately sociable loner and not very emotional. Tag is last seen leaving the party. He is probably camping with his favorite companion, “Walden”.
