Although she did not need it in terms of her career and position in the music industry, Aitana decided to continue developing her role as a performer by starring in the Spanish adaptation of the French romantic comedy Stay with Us, under the direction of Patricia Font. Regardless of the result, with Aitana it is difficult for something to be a failure in terms of impact and viewers. A Closure in Pure Aitana Style?

Aitana, but especially the team that surrounds her, is very clear about the target to which almost all of the projects are directed where the image of the artist as a brand is behind: a young audience who have as a reference and idol what the Catalan woman represents.  And, taking this concept into account, the ending of Pared con Pared is better understood. Although the film is an adaptation of the French version, the truth is that Aitana gives it her personal touch just by being the protagonist of the story, thus turning it into fiction, as in the case of The Last One, a kind of simile with his own life. As is the case with many of the artist’s works, in this project the debate around aspects such as the quality, credibility, and originality of the product itself, and in this case also Aitana’s skills as an actress, is left aside because what reaches her audience is the message that what she represents alone sends: a young woman fighting for her dreams.

Thus, Love Divided is a lighthearted film focused mainly on a young audience, which tells the story of an innocent-looking girl who manages to prevail over all those who want to control her to pursue what is her true dream. Even putting one’s own desires ahead of love. The role played by Aitana develops until she breaks away from what had been an imposed obligation for her (to be a wonderful pianist) due to a supposed debt to her ex, who gave her many opportunities in music. A message very much from the current ‘Disney universe’ that reaffirms Aitana’s figure as a public character. And that is completed with a much healthier love, that of a man who did not need to see the girl fall in love with her, and who wants to accompany her in all of her vital goals. A simple and repeated teaching, but one that resonates with Aitana as the protagonist.
