Kuruthi is a movie that starts slowly and builds tension. The film deals with an explosive subject matter and tells the story dramatically from beginning to end. The film manages to capture the essence of what it has been saying for years, with more violent scenes and background music. Conversations between two groups inside the house are presented in a dramatic way, reminiscent of meaningless WhatsApp conversations.

The Review: How’s The Film?

Kuruthi is a fast paced suspense thriller. Which goes on talking on social and political issues. The film starts slow. But after some time back to back twists start coming in the film. And the film doesn’t leave you even for a minute. Kuruthi’s camera work is amazing and Abhinandan Ramanujam’s cinematography is excellent. In which the background score of Jax Bijoy breathes more life. How the religious fanaticism spreading in the country is getting poisoned day by day, it is well shown in this film.

Here the film’s writer Anish Pallayal is praised, due to whose crisp writing, the film does not deviate from the path anywhere. Director Manu Varrier’s direction is also amazing. Manu has done justice with each and every scene written by Anish.

The shortcoming that is seen in the film is that at times the matter becomes over-dramatic. Despite multiple injuries, the actor slid comfortably in slo-mo. The man who suffered almost third degree burns from acid is seen walking comfortably after some time. These are some things that hurt. If that was taken care of, the film would have been more fun.

Kuruthi Film Review: The Performances

When it comes to performance, Mamukoya is the one who scores. He presents comedy and mass with an impossible handful of seconds apart. But it is not the excellence of the script or the character creation, but the excellence of an experienced actor. Prithviraj has acted dramatically from his dramatic entry to the end. Dialog has not been able to bring spontaneity in deliveries and expressions. Roshan’s satirical performance, on the other hand, highlights the character’s emotional level. Srinivasan’s subtle expressions are also commendable. But the script of the film is written without a clear arc for any character.

Roshan Mathew has played the role of Ibrahim aka Ibru. Roshan’s work is good. Roshan has captured the character of Ibrahim, who is going through many conflicts. Prithviraj Sukumaran has played the role of a fanatic but very composed character keeping in mind the nuances. Actor Gafoor has played the role of a teenager Rasool very well. The one who sees the bigotry around, starts getting painted in the same color. Mamukkoya has played the character of Ibaru’s all-time fidgety but accurate-talking father, Moses. This character has been written most wonderfully in the entire film. Which Mamukkoya has also performed very well.

Kuruthi Film Review: The Last Words?

‘Kuruthi’ gives full fun of a suspense thriller film, keeping the reality of society moving towards bigotry in today’s era. The story, screenplay of the film manages to keep the audience engaged with the film continuously. Actors are icing on the cake. who have done a wonderful job. According to us, ‘Kuruthi’ is a good film, which should not be missed.
