After Asur Season 1 and Asur Season 2 Barun Sobti has shown his acting potentials everywhere.  Kohrra is a slow-burning, character-driven drama that is more interested in exploring the interpersonal dynamics of its characters than in providing a quick and easy resolution to the murder mystery. The series is set in the countryside of Punjab, and the filmmakers do a good job of capturing the unique cultural and social landscape of the region. The performances in Kohrra are all top-notch. Barun Sobti and Suvinder Vicky have great chemistry as the two lead cops, and Amrita Singh is particularly good as the matriarch of the troubled family at the center of the story. The supporting cast is also strong, with Karishma Tanna and Ishita Dutta giving memorable performances.

Kohrra Series Review and Analysis

The story of Kohrra is somewhat predictable but excellent direction and powerful screenplay make this series interesting till the end. The way the backstory and personality of each character are shown in this story is the USP of this web series. The audience will be impressed by the way the director and writer have shown two swag officers working on this case with full dedication without taking a baton in their hands. The special thing about Randeep Jha’s direction is that his series looks real, but he has not tried to spice it up.

In this entire series, Barun Sobti’s character Garundi character is completely covered. Looking at the way this policeman runs after the criminals, makes them reveal the truth, you forget that this is Barun Sobti. Barun has presented both these aspects of an imperfect human being and a perfect policeman to the audience in the best possible way through his character. Balbir Singh of Savinderpal Vicky also impresses us. Manish Chowdhary, Harleen Sethi, and Varun Badola have also given complete justice to their characters. The cinematographer has to be given full marks for the cinematography of Kohrra, the way he has filmed this story keeps in mind the title of this series (Kohrra), it is praiseworthy. +
