Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes: Shooting Start For The Film Here Is The First Look Image

Filming on 20th Century Studios Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, starring Owen Teague (It), Freya Allan (The Witcher), and Peter Macon (The Orville), will begin in October, directed by Wes Ball (trilogy of Maze Runner). This feature opens a new chapter in the saga of The Planet of the Apes, which will resume many years after the conclusion of the 2017 film The War – Planet of the Apes. The screenplay is by Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), and Patrick Aison (Prey). The film is produced by Joe Hartwick Jr. (Maze Runner trilogy), Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Jason Reed (Mulan). Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are executive producers.

Planet of the Apes is one of the most popular and enduring 20th Century Studios franchises that has raised more than $1.7 billion worldwide. Based on a novel by Pierre Boulle, the first film in the saga was released by Twentieth Century-Fox in 1968 and became one of the year’s biggest hits, winning a special Academy Award®, followed by four film sequels and two television series. A remake, Planet of the Apes, directed by Tim Burton, was released in 2001. Subsequently, the 2011 reboot, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, was followed by two sequels, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes of 2014 and The War – Planet of the Apes 2017.
