The makers of Kantara announced a prequel titled “Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1” yesterday and released the teaser of the upcoming movie. After the global success of “Kantara: A Legend” in 2022, Hombale Films recently announced the addition of another chapter to the film with ‘Kantara Chapter 1‘. The makers released a powerful and exciting first-look poster and teaser of the film and everything that has been revealed about the film ensures that the makers are all set to enthrall the audience once again with another cinematic masterpiece and will take people on an intense and divine ride into the world of the film. ‘Kantara’ was made on a budget of just Rs 16 crore. The film earned more than Rs 350 crore worldwide. To cash in on the hype, the makers have increased the budget of the prequel wildly.

In ‘Brahmastra’, Shiva, the knower of light, said that light is a light that can only be felt. Then came Rishab Shetty of Kantara. Looking at the light he says, ‘This is not just light, it is philosophy’. The first look at Kantara’s prequel Kantara A Legend Chapter 1 is out. The above line is its tagline. The makers dropped the first look of the film at 12:25 pm on 27th November. A short teaser video has been released along with a poster. The video starts with a scene from ‘Kantara’. Rishabh’s character Shiva runs after Dev in the forest and Dev disappears. Suddenly a voice comes from the sky:-

Further in the teaser it was shown that the story takes place in the Kadamba time. A supernatural-looking person is seen on the mountain. Rudraksha rosary around the neck. Trishul in hand. Broad chest, taut arms from which blood is flowing. His eyes are red. The color of blood, the color of intense light. It is possible that this character may be shown as an incarnation of Shiva but nothing is confirmed as of now. In the poster, the man is shown fighting with some people. There he has a trident in one hand and an ax in the other. The makers have already made it clear that the story of ‘Kantara’ is not going to move forward.

They have taken the story back and will show it in multiple parts. According to the news published in Deccan Chronicle, the story of the prequel of ‘Kantara’ will take place in the fourth century. In the previous film, the story started from the 19th century. There was a king who gave a part of the land to God to fulfill his wish. God hands over that land to the tribal people. Then it is shown that in today’s time, the descendants of that king try to grab that land. Then the gods return to deliver justice. ‘Kantara’ was made on a budget of just Rs 16 crore. The film created so much ‘Wow’ noise that the collection crossed Rs 400 crore. Seeing the craze, Hombale Films thought that they could benefit. Thinking this, the budget of the prequel was taken to the sky. It is said that it is being made on a budget of Rs 125 crore. The answer to whether this skyscraper can hit a six in terms of earnings or not will be known only in 2024.

Trailer to Release on December 1

According to media reports, the Kantara 2 shooting will start in December. Rishabh is currently preparing for this film, which is being planned on a bigger scale than the first film. The film will be shot in three phases and is expected to wrap up by August 2024. Kantara 2 Most of the shooting will be done in India. This film by Rishabh Shetty is an action thriller.
