How does Jurassic World Dominion end? The sixth film in the saga not only closes the story told in this film but offers a resolution to the plot of the entire World trilogy, which brought dinosaurs back to cinemas in 2015. In the film we discover the destiny of Owen, Claire, and Maisie, we find some old acquaintances but above all, light is shed on the destiny of humanity, which suddenly finds itself living with the dinosaurs, returned due to an excess of human arrogance from their extinction and spread throughout the planet.

In Jurassic World Dominion the fall of Biosyn Genetics is told, the company that has obtained the opportunity to conduct experiments on the dinosaur genome, administering the sanctuary in the Dolomites where the largest and most dangerous species are housed, far from inhabited centers.
In the Jurassic World film trilogy, Biosyn and its president Lewis Dodgson (Campbell Scott) play a marginal role, but this is not the case in the cycle of novels on which the saga is based, where Dodgson is the villain of two narrative cycles. In this film, Dodgson has managed to gain control of the company for which he worked as a scientist and is presented as the president of Biosyn.
The company has made available to the United Nations a very extensive area in the Dolomites, bought in the 1990s. This private land has become a sanctuary that is home to the most dangerous dinosaur species. In reality, however, Dodgson is not carrying out the research he boasts in public, looking in the DNA of dinosaurs for a way to cure deadly diseases or improve people’s lives. On the contrary. His first experiment – a disproportionate variety of grasshoppers that has genes taken from Cretaceous dinosaur specimens – causes a real famine, eating almost all crops based on seeds other than those of Biosyn. In the film, it is not clear whether this “blackmail” manipulation was intentional or not.
When the grasshoppers turn out to be a mistake that could starve humanity, Dodgson decides to burn the specimens in the laboratory, which have become dangerous proof of his guilt. The fire spread by the burning grasshoppers weakens their glass cage, causing it to break and the swarm of genetically modified animals to escape. Fiery grasshoppers ravage the park, causing a vast fire. Dodgson will be attacked and poisoned by some dilophosaurs as he attempts to use the hyperloop (the underground tunnel that functions as an underground monorail in the base) to escape. He will die at the end of the movie.
The Real Story Of Maisie
In Jurassic World Dominion we find Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon), now known globally for being the cloned version of Lockwood’s daughter. We find her now thirteen, having passed four years since the events of the previous film. Claire and Owen live together and act as adoptive parents, but there are tensions between the girl and the two. She would like to live her life freely, but they keep her hidden in an isolated shed, fearing someone will try to harm her.
At the beginning of the film, Maisie is kidnapped by Dodgson through the mercenary Soyona (Dichen Lachman). The Byosin tycoon wants to get his hands on the girl’s DNA. The secret to neutralizing giant grasshoppers is hidden in the Maisie genome. We thus discover that Maisie was cloned by Lockwood’s daughter, a brilliant scientist who wanted to become a mother but was suffering from a serious illness. The young woman has created Maisie, a clone of herself, by growing him in her womb, giving him birth, and then taking care of him as her daughter. Maisie’s “mother” had managed to correct a serious DNA error in her that caused the disease she will lose her life to, a disease to which Maisie is immune.
At the end of the film, Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong) will be able to replicate the same process on a modified grasshopper, making sure that the others cannot reproduce and stopping the destruction of crops. He succeeds by studying the DNA of Maisie and that of Beta, Blue’s son. Blue managed to reproduce on its own, exploiting the abilities inherited from the genome of the monitor (which has similar abilities) that had been used to complete its DNA sequence and recreate the species of velociraptors. At the end of the film, Maisie seems to have made peace with her nature and willingly accepts Owen and Claire as parents.
The Fate Of Owen And Claire
Owen and Claire are a steady couple and serve as Maisie’s parents. The two are very worried about the girl’s safety. When Dodgson kidnaps the girl, Owen and Claire immediately set off in search of her, stopping first in Malta for a tip and then in the sanctuary in the Dolomites, where they manage to enter with difficulty.
Claire and Owen will face many dangers and dinosaurs to save Maisie by proving to be her real parents. Owen will also be able to save Beta, Blue’s son, and bring him back to his mother unharmed. At the end of the movie, Owen and Blue say goodbye. The velociraptor, however, retraces his steps, showing affection for the trainer with whom he has spent so much time.
Alan and Ellie Are Together
In Jurassic World – Domination we also see the return of two historical characters from the first film: Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and Alan Grant (Sam Neill). She works for the US government science department and finds herself investigating giant grasshoppers ravaging crops, he is a field paleontologist and is engaged in some excavation, which she interrupts to help her gather evidence of Byosin’s guilt.
In the Dolomites, the two will meet Malcolm, who will give them a hand in collecting evidence of the guilt of Dodgson’s company. Alan remained a lone wolf, while Ellie broke up with ex Mark. At the end of the film the two, including the attraction is undeniable, end up kissing. Ellie also finds time to tell Maisie about her mother, as she met her and worked on it together. At the end of the film, she and Alan testify against Byosin.
The Fate Of Humans And Dinosaurs
In the finale of the movie, Domination does not make it clear what will happen to humans and dinosaurs. The film suggests that humans can no longer be considered at the top of the food chain:

Humans and dinosaurs will continue their forced coexistence, trying to respect each other and not to trigger a new ecological catastrophe after the narrow escape from the giant grasshoppers. In the finale, the film shows us animals and humans living side by side with dinosaurs: the coexistence of different species has become the new normal, even when it comes to dinosaurs. The once extinct reptiles have become another link in the fragile chain of living beings that inhabit the Earth and for which man must take responsibility, also thinking about their safety and well-being.
