Is Walter and Jesse’s Cameo in Better Call Saul Coming Up? This Is What Is Coming For The End Of The Series
There is absolutely nothing left to dismiss one of the great series of the century. Better Call Saul lives its sixth and final season, with only five episodes remaining for the long-awaited finale. And it is that after the series returned last Tuesday with episode 8, which did not save anything, there is less left to see the outcome and connection that the production will have before Breaking Bad.
That is why here we talk about what is coming in the series, the plots that must still be closed and when we could see the expected cameo of Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in their return to history. Attention! Below are spoilers for Better Call Saul and its last released episode. If you don’t want to find out, don’t keep reading.
What is Coming At The End Of Better Call Saul
After the premiere of episode 8, in which we finally saw the death of Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton), one of the villains of the series at the hands of Gustavo Frings (Giancarlo Esposito), there are few characters left in this series to know their fate.
What Will Happen to Kim?
And it is that what many expected is that the end of Lalo had to do directly with that of Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) since both are not in Breaking Bad and were protagonists of this “prequel”. But without the leader of El Cartel, the future of Saul Goodman’s wife is still unclear.
What we do know is that after this traumatic experience, all with Howard’s death and feeling guilty in some way at his sad end, Kim was quite shocked. Surely this has to do with the fact that Kim does not exist nor is she talked about in Breaking Bad, although her death begins to make less sense if Lalo is no longer there.
Did We Know The End Of The Story Of Gus Frings And Mike?
In Breaking Bad we can see how Mike is already an employee of Gustavo Frings and meets Saul Goodman to help Jesse Pinkman, and after Lalo’s death, both Frings and his bodyguard no longer have many plots to connect with Breaking Bad.
Although the characters will have a leading role in these final episodes, Lalo’s end could mean the end of his story, at least in Better Call Saul, although what is missing is knowing how Gus will tell Héctor, his nemesis and Lalo’s uncle, the death of his beloved nephew at his hands.
What Will Happen To Saul Goodman?
Saul (Bob Odenkirk) ends up quite affected after Howard’s death, although we see him somewhat less broken than Kim. Without a doubt, the character has had a remarkable transition to becoming the rogue lawyer and we have already seen how he makes criminal clients.
While there is yet to be seen a break between his current personality and the one we see in Breaking Bad, it seems that the only thing left to see is how Howard’s murder will affect him, but even more so, how he will separate himself from Kim.
When is Walter and Jesse’s Cameo Coming?
Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated things is to see Walter White and Jesse Pinkman together on screen again. And it is that Better Call Saul is presumed to end just with the beginning of Breaking Bad, so the appearance of the characters makes total sense. Even more so after the same production confirmed that both will have their appearance, although it is unknown in what context and how.
Both Walter and Jesse have not been named in Better Call Saul and we are still not sure of the time between the two series. Without being clear about how much is left for the events of Breaking Bad in the timeline of the prequel, what we could see as a cameo could be some moment where both already know each other, or even see them before the events of the series are released in 2008.
This is because many expect to see the duo together again, but it would be a great surprise to see them separately before they even started cooking drugs and adding some significant moment to the origin of the characters.
What Happened to Saul in the Present?
One thing is the story of the lawyer in Better Call Saul, but we must not forget that the series has shown fragments of Saul’s new life after the end of Breaking Bad. As an unknown seller of cinnamon rolls in the mall, the lawyer continues to live in the shadow of his past and anonymity.
Although it has not been confirmed, it would be a notable twist to know what happens to Saul Goodman in the present and if he will have an ending to his story, just like Jesse did in El Camino.
