Speaking to Xavier, Natalie’s brother, Riri admits that he wants his talent to be taken seriously. And here it is inserted in the Parker Robbins / The Hood band from “HR” John. Parker tests her and then asks her to participate in the next three thefts. Riri initially refuses, but then agrees to get some money. After that, she has a clash with her mom, Ronnie, who points out that she still has to face her pain. Meanwhile, the girl begins to think that AI is a digital reproduction of Natalie.

Ironheart Episode 2 Recap

In episode 2 of Ironheart on Disney+, we see Riri meeting Hood’s gang when they are targeting TNNL, which wants to turn Chicago freight tunnels into a private highway, at the expense of local communities. The aim is to sabotage the demonstration, using a virus, leading to negotiation. Riri is surprised when she realizes that Autonomous Neuro Technical Assistant and Laboratory Intelligence Entity, Natalie, has a memory of the real Natalie. Meanwhile, Joe helps her complete her suit. After that, the TNNL heist is a success, but here Natalie breaks Riri’s suit, causing her to take the hard drive that contains the virus. Together, they then manage to find the solution to proceed with the shutdown, so that Parker can blackmail Sheila Zarante, CEO of TNNL. Robbins manages to convince the woman to put her gang on TNNL’s payroll. We later see Natalie confess to remembering the real Natalie’s death and having suspicions about Parker’s powers. The episode ends with Riri not accepting her mom’s request to create an AI for Gary, too, as she has doubts about Natalie’s origins.

Ironheart Episode 3 Recap

In the third episode of Ironheart, we see that the gang celebrates the success of the robbery. Parker then explains what they will have to do with the second plan, which targets the biotech company Heirlum, which is causing various farmers to go bankrupt. Riri, however, then explains to Parker that he has difficulty participating in these robberies. After that, the girl discovers that Rampage, one of the gang members, is dead and decides to find a way to cut off part of Parker’s magic hood to discover the truth. So he goes to Joe and finds him injured by his experiment. While trying to help him, he finds Obadiah Stane’s ashes.

Joe confesses to her that his real name is Ezekiel “Zeke” Stane, son of Obadiah, killed by Tony Stark after his betrayal. Zeke says he doesn’t want to be like his father and is worried about Riri’s plans. Next, we see Riri letting Natalie use the armor as she approaches Parker with the intent of cutting off a piece of the tunic. The latter is, on the other hand, negotiating with Hunter Mason, who refuses to sign his contracts. Parker kills him, and then Riri meets John, who mistakenly believes he killed Parker after seeing a piece of his hood. At this point, he admits to killing Rampage. A fight occurs between them, and Natalie saves Riri, leaving John to die. Riri panics and, when she returns home, realizes that she has forgotten the Biomesh skin where John died. Parker is saddened by his death and, through a vision, discovers that Riri is responsible.

What Consequences Will This Have for Riri?

The episode makes it clear that Parker is after her. Now that you know what happened to your cousin, you will want revenge. And to top it off, Riri has left behind one of Ezekiel Stane’s devices, which can be tracked and linked directly to him. It’s a double problem: the police were already investigating her for the Rampage murder, and now there is a new crime scene with its technology in between. Ezekiel had warned him that he did not want to attract attention, that he did not want to repeat the mistakes of his father, the villain Obadiah Stane. But Riri, wanting to get there faster, has screwed up. Now, in addition to dealing with the pain of what happened, he has to face the possibility of having ruined his friendship with Ezekiel … and putting his head at a price.

Who Really is Riri Williams?

This episode serves as a turning point for her. Until now, her actions could be justified as mistakes by a young genius with good intentions. But now she’s played on dangerous ground, mixed with criminals, and made decisions that bring her closer to villains than heroes. Natalie and Xavier have been warning him for some time that not everything goes for a combat suit. That she doesn’t need millions to become a hero, just wit, heart, and a little humility. Tony Stark built his first suit out of scrap metal. And she, who has created an AI from scratch, doesn’t need to follow the same path to shine. She just needs to trust herself.

Final Reflection on Episode 3 of “Ironheart

The chapter closes with Riri on the verge of emotional collapse. He’s done what he never thought he would do. He has killed, even if by omission. And that weight is going to haunt her. But it also opens the door to a real evolution of the character: from here, everything she does will make the difference between getting lost… or becoming the heroine she is destined to be. Ironheart is building not only a new heroine of the Marvel universe, but also a story about facing yourself when you’ve hit rock bottom. Because sometimes, to fly, you have to first learn to fall.
