Invisible City Season 2: The Story Plot
The story of a father who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his wife while trying to take care of his daughter is intertwined with those of ancient folklore entities deeply linked to forests and nature, connected to the violent past of a complex country like Brazil. In the second season, after having come back to life in the sacred waters near Belém do Pará, Eric (Marco Pigossi) does everything possible to find his daughter Luna (Manu Dieguez) and in the course of his search, he could discover the true nature of the girl.
Two years have passed since the final events of the first season of Invisible City, Luna (Manu Dieguez) and la Cuca (Alessandra Negrini) have embarked on a journey in search of Eric (Marco Pigossi), guided by the girl’s premonitory dreams. The two want to find him and try to bring him back to life, after he has been swept away by the waters to which, as an entity, he belongs. Luna’s dreams lead them to Belém do Pará, a city in northern Brazil adjacent to large natural reserves.
An ancient territory, full of stories, entities, and above all of the great power: it is in the forests of that region that a magical and mysterious city is hidden, Marangatù, a refuge for the creatures of the area. A refuge that is practically inaccessible and that they want to defend at all costs, but which is perhaps the place where Eric himself was dragged by the waters. It’s not just Luna and la Cuca who are interested in entering it, a group of entities and unscrupulous men, a family that owns several illegal mines, would like an access key to Marangatù because if the legend is true there are hidden huge amounts of gold.
Invisible City Season 2 Ending: Who is Deborah Castro?
We start with Castro, an heir to an influential family. He appears looking for a treasure, which can be found easily by Honorato, an indigenous man who could become a snake. Danilo, Castro’s right hand, finds Honorato and asks him to locate this treasure. However, Honorato does not accept Danilo’s request. At the same time, the story depicts the search for Eric, who disappeared for two years. Ines and Luna decide to seek spiritual support from the witch Matinta to find out about Eric’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, Eric awakens in an Indian tribe, where Castro and his allies are searching for treasure. Eric witnesses Honorato’s murder. He meets Lazo, an ancient with the power to find gold in a way no other human is capable of. Lazo and Eric get to know each other but end up being surprised by Danilo’s pursuit.
The place where Eric and Lazo are set on fire and he is trapped. Eric awakens in a hospital, confused, and not understanding what is happening. Hospitalized, Eric meets Bento, a boy who claims to know where Luna is. Eric believes in Bento and goes where the boy indicates. Eric and Luna are reunited. They are happy with the reunion, but the happiness is short-lived when Castro and his allies start to be persecuted. Luna is kidnapped by Débora, one of Castro’s allies. On the other hand, Eric happens to have powers he never had before. The witch Metinta explains to Ines that this is a consequence of them messing with the natural order of entities.
With this, Eric has the gift of healing and Bento is freed from the curse. Eric absorbs Bento’s wounds. He also discovers Castro’s plans for the treasure and decides to confront him. However, Castro manipulates his wife, Judge Clarice, to try to harm Eric. Clarice refuses to support Castro and asks for a divorce. Furthermore, Eric is sought out by Clarice, who offers help and says she can help him find Luna. Eric finds Luna and absorbs Debora’s powers. Moments before becoming an ordinary person, Debora transforms into a snake and attacks Luna.
Luna is on the verge of death and Ines tries to provide a way to save her immediately. She meets Jaciara, a powerful sorceress from a tribe. The sorceress asks Eric to leave the place to start Luna’s healing process. Impatient, Eric begins to manifest an evil entity in his body. Luna is healed, but Ines runs away with the girl. Eric begins to realize that he is losing control over himself and decides to go after his daughter. On the way, he meets Bento and Lazo and asks if they know about their daughter’s whereabouts. The two say no, but Eric drains Bento and Lazo’s powers and discovers that Luna and Ines are going to Marangatu. Ines uses her powers to discover that Eric is uncontrollable. Ines and Luna break up and Ines goes to Eric. She uses her psychic powers to justify why Luna was brought to the tribe. She explains that Debora and Luna have their paths joined by the entities. Matinta and Jaciara warned about this.
