Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s superhit film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam‘ has completed 22 years today. Released on June 18, 1999, this film had created a different magic on the screen. This film of Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Aishwarya Rai was not only liked for its story and direction, but even today its songs make fans crazy. On the occasion of completion of 22 years of the film, Bhansali Productions also shared some pictures on Twitter and Instagram. Sharing these, the caption read, ‘We experienced a series of emotions then and we are experiencing the same today. We are celebrating 22 years of witnessing the love of Vanraj (Ajay), Nandini (Aishwarya) and Sameer (Salman).

Ajay has shared three pictures in his post. In the first picture, he is seen with Sanjay Bhansali. With Salman in the second and Aishwarya Rai in the third photo. All three pictures are very beautiful and funny. Along with this, Ajay has also written a happy caption expressing his happiness.

Ajay writes with the pictures, ‘It has been 22 years since Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Salman, Sanjay, Aish and I knew that we were making a super sensitive film. However, we didn’t think then that we were creating history. I am feeling very humbled.

Let me tell you, this film of Bhansali was based on Maitreyi Devi’s Bengali novel ‘Na Hanayate’. However, it was not given credit in the film. The special thing about the film was that it also proved to be a hit at the box office. The film had earned Rs 51.4 crore in that period, while the budget of the film was only Rs 16 crore. Apart from this, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ did well in foreign countries as well.

Significantly, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ajay Devgan have come together once again after 22 years. Ajay will soon be seen in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi. Alia Bhatt will be seen in the role of Gangubai in the film. Gangubai became an influential woman in Mumbai in the 60s after taking up prostitution at a young age.
