Hawkeye Episode 4: Who Revels Clint’s Location To Yelena? Was it Eleanor Who Called Yelena? Spoilers!

Hawkeye's fourth episode saw the entry of Yelena Belova, who got into a fight to the death with Clint. But who told you the exact location of Hawkeye?

In Hawkeye Episode 4, Yelena Belova, the Black Widow sister of the late Natasha Romanoff who we met in the stand alone film Black Widow, made her entrance. While acting as a farewell to the character of Nat and being set during the years of Captain America: Civil War, in fact, the prequel film starring Scarlett Johansson laid the foundations for the clash between Yelena and Clint: in the post credits scene of the film, the narrative is back to the present, with Yelena mourning the death of her sister in Avengers: Endgame. When the Countess Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine reaches her at Natasha’s grave, she assigns her a very important mission: to kill Clint Barton, whom she deems guilty of the death of the character of Scarlett Johansson.

Hawkeye Episode 4

Hawkeye Episode 4 therefore represents the natural continuation of the narrative line of Yelena’s revenge: while, in fact, Clint and Kate team up to recover the rolex stolen from the Avenger headquarters, here is where Yelena appears. Incredibly agile and snappy, Yelena begins a no-holds-barred fight with Hawkeye, stopped only by the providential intervention of Kate, who manages to distract the Black Widow and save her mentor before Yelena beats a momentary retreat.

The fight therefore ends in a stalemate, with no winners or losers, but leaves the audience with an interesting question: who revealed Clint’s exact position to Yelena? We need to take a little step back in time to try to give an answer.

Did Eleanor Reveal Clint’s Location To Yelena In Hawkeye’s Fourth Episode?

At the beginning of the fourth episode of Hawkeye, we witness Clint’s meeting with Kate’s family: when the girl reveals to her mother that she is collaborating with Hawkeye, Eleanor appears tense and in evident difficulty. Speaking face to face with the hero, try to dissuade him from involving Kate in the mission he is working on. Eleanor says she is incredibly worried about her daughter since she fears that she may face a cruel fate like others before her: “Natasha Romanoff was good too, wasn’t she? Not always enough to stay alive” she reminds Clint before he is leave.

Eleanor

What might initially be read as a mother’s natural concern for her young daughter takes on a completely different meaning when Eleanor walks away for a mysterious phone call: “I’m Eleanor. Can you call me back, please It’s urgent” she says worriedly. While it is not clear who is on the other end of the phone, the hypothesis takes hold that the mysterious interlocutor is Yelena given the timing of her arrival.

Eleanor may have traced Kate’s position as she did with Clint in the second episode (when he was a prisoner of the mafia) and, assuming they were together, communicated it to Yelena. This would therefore explain the arrival on the field of the Black Widow and her ambush against Hawkeye.

We can expect that in the next few episodes Eleanor’s phone call will be answered and that, above all, the long-awaited moment of the showdown between Clint and Natasha’s sister will arrive.
