Genny dies in the latest episode of Gomorrah? Don Savastano’s fate is revealed in the two episodes of the series based on the novel of the same name by Roberto Saviano. Exhausted by the conflicts and losses that have characterized him since the first season, Genny finds himself having to deal with a ghost from his past when he discovers that Ciro is alive. After the death of his mother and the murder of his father, after being convinced that he had killed that brother without whom he believed he could not live, Genny went on only in the hope of being able to live a normal life with Azzurra and Pietrino. When that dream is gone, too, Gennaro is left with just trying to make sure the people he loves are safe.
Gomorrah Season 5: Is Genny Dies In The Grand Ending?
In the ninth episode of the fifth season, Gennaro pressures the magistrate Ruggieri to find out where Pietrino was sent. In the meantime, everything is ready for Don Savastano’s departure, while Ciro and Nunzia discover they can count on the precious help of allies they didn’t think they had.
The last episode contains a final resolution between Genny and Cirù. Aware that he has no choice but to do what Ciro is asking him to do, Gennaro agrees to leave with him for a last trip. Locked together in that suffocating cockpit, Ciro and Genny will finally have an honest confrontation that will allow them to free themselves from the demons that have plagued them all these years.
After deciding to spare the lives of Genny, Azzurra and Pietro, Ciro finds himself having to fight one last battle that catches him off guard. Some assassins arrive on the scene, probably loyal to Nunzia, ready to make Ciro pay for the murder of the widow of ‘O Galantommo. Messi Azzurra and the child on a boat that takes them away from the conflict, Ciro and Gennaro head towards the beach where the slaughter is taking place. “You were right, Azzurra, the only one you have to protect yourself from is” Genny says as he walks away from his wife and son.
“We have to get out of here, cover me” Ciro tells Genny as their enemies shoot in their direction. While trying to move forward, Gennaro is hit by the bullets and collapses lifeless on the sand. Genny died on the battlefield, trying to protect the people he loved.
Ciro kneels next to his brother’s corpse, wrapping his face in his hands and bursting into low tears. In a few moments, the Immortal is also killed by a bullet and collapses alongside Genny. The two brothers die side by side, just as they lived. At war, alone. But together.
