God Of War: Amazon Prime Video In Talks With Sony To Create The Tv Series Here What We Know
In May of last year, Sony pointed out that the time had not yet come for a TV series based on God of War, but it seems that the Phantom of Sparta much loved by PlayStation fans is destined to wreak havoc and destruction even on small screens.
According to the new Deadline report, Amazon Prime Video is already in advanced talks with Sony to obtain the rights to make a God of War television series. The series adaptation will reportedly be led by The Expanse creators / executive producers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, along with The Wheel of Time executive producer /show runner Rafe Judkins. Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions will also take part in the production, which of course collaborate on all TV series based on PlayStation games.
God of War Series What We Know
There seems to be no further information on the matter at the moment, and neither Amazon nor Sony has currently commented on the indiscretion. We just have to wait for the next few days to find out if there will be a definitive confirmation. Jim Ryan, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, had made it very clear how the PlayStation IPs would be progressively adapted as a TV series and movies. In recent years, moreover, we have already witnessed the announcement of the TV series of The Last of Us (which will not arrive before 2023), of the Ghost of Tsushima film and of the debut in the cinemas of Uncharted, just for to mention some of the biggest Sony projects.
