Fukrey 3 Review: The Story Plot
In the previous film, CM Saheb had opened a departmental store named Janta Store to these fools i.e. Hunny (Pulkit Samrat), Choochaa (Varun Sharma), Lali (Manjot Singh) and Pandit ji (Pankaj Tripathi). But in this film, the departure and mental separation from this store has been separated and Fukrey is doing Fukragiri again. At the same time, innocent Punjaban is now planning to expand her empire differently by coming into politics. The magic of Choochaa‘s Dejachu is still working. But due to this déjà vu, they reach Africa. There are many twists in the story and in the meantime these Fukars come to know that Choochaa has now got a new power. His urine has now become a flammable substance like petrol. Now, where there are inflammable substances and breasts, fire is inevitable and this is what happens further in the film. After all, to know what is happening here, you will have to go to the theaters and watch the film.
Fukrey 3 continues the story from where the second part ended. This time the film takes you on a stormy journey. Its story has been seen spread from coal mines in Africa to an amusement park in Delhi, in which Jamnapar Ka Choochaa is both the heart and soul of the film. In the film, Hunny (Pulkit Samrat), Choocha (Varun Sharma), Pandit Ji (Pankaj Tripathi), and Lali (Manjot Singh) are once again seen giving a performance that won people’s hearts. This time this quartet has entered the world of politics. This time Choochaa contests against Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadha) Everyone together moves the breast forward. A new rival appears in Fukrey 3. Its name is Dhingra who appears as a water mafia villain. Dhingra funds Bholi Punjaban to contest elections in exchange for supporting him in his illegal activities. Illegal activities mainly include water theft and smuggling.
To garner support for her campaign, Bholi wants Pandit Ji and the Fukrey gang to come up with a strategy. However, Hunny hatches a brilliant plan, which backfires on Bhoji Punjaban. After this, the popularity of Choochaa started increasing. In such a situation, Bholi Punjaban sends the Fukrey gang to South Africa on the pretext of searching for diamonds to stop Choocha from campaigning. Well, after going to South Africa, a surprising discovery comes to light, which helps the Fukrey gang to get the money. This time Choochaa‘s ‘deja chu’ vision brings all the twists in the story. In the midst of all this, a twist occurs which the audience would not have even imagined. With this, a new conspiracy begins. It’s interesting to see how much Choocha’s ‘Deja Chu’ vision throws the Fukrey gang into a tizzy this time.
Fukrey 3 Review and Analysis
the opening track of the film in which the story of the previous two films is told through flashback photos. It is very well written. Vipul’s writing was very good and keeps you connected to the film. As the film drags on, he comes up with a joke or twist that brings the story back on track. However, the many talks about potty in the film seem a bit strange. The first half of the film is spent explaining the characters and the new narrative, while the second half is where the story becomes fun. Fukrey 3 has a social message like the first two parts, but this part does not follow that track with the same sincerity. At times it feels like it’s largely forced into the script, just to add a touch of social commentary. This is the reason why it does not affect much.
It doesn’t matter even if you haven’t seen the first two films. First of all, if you are thinking that you have not seen the first films of this series or you will have to watch the first two before watching the third, then there is good news. At the very beginning of the film, the makers give you a complete re-cap of the earlier two films. Due to this, it does not take much time to connect with the story. Talking about the story, this time the story is quite weak. Things are just happening, but the kind of nervousness that exists in the last two films about ‘what will happen to the poor people now’… you will not be able to feel that this time. The first half of the film starts on a fun note but the part of the story that is shown in Africa seems very stretched. However, you may feel the feeling of the story dragging and being boring at times. Some things are happening in the film, but I don’t know why. Like the tanker mafia and innocent Punjabis are scared of the fools in the election field, but we don’t know why.
Whereas in the second half, the story has been given a strange climax to insert a social message. The climax is the biggest weak link of this film. Also, the film feels quite long this time. You have already heard all the important punches of the film in the trailer. In such a situation, there is no moment in the film that makes you laugh while holding your stomach. Don’t know the laughter but get irritated at many places that in 2023 at least we deserve better cinema than this. Talking about acting, it is a good part of this film. Bholi Punjaban looked very beautiful this time while Choocha has taken the entire responsibility of innocence in the story. Both Richa and Varun are entrenched in their respective characters. The jugalbandhi of Pankaj Tripathi, Manjot, and Pulikat is good. However, why an actor like Manurishi Chaddha has been wasted in the film is also a matter to think about. Talking about music, songs appear in the film only in between, which does not stop its pace. The songs playing in the background are fine.
Varun Sharma i.e., Choochaa is the life of the film and Varun has done amazing work in his style. You start laughing as soon as you see them. In a true sense, the hero of the film is Varun and there is no doubt that Fukrey is such a popular franchise because of Varun. Pulkit Samrat is as fit as ever in the role of Hunny. He is a very special part of this gang, and this is proved this time also. Pankaj Tripathi has breathed life into the character of Pandit Ji. His role has also increased and the reason for this is that his stature in the industry has also increased. Manjot Singh is brilliant in the role of Lali. Bholi Punjaban has got less space this time and her character also seems weak. Mrigdeep Singh Lamba directed the film well, but more comic punches should have been added in the second half. His hold on the film in the first half is excellent. The second half was loose. Perhaps due to social pressure, he laid more emphasis on giving the message.
Director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba has once again been successful in telling his story. With powerful punches and funny one-liners, the film keeps people engaged till the end. The film is also successful in conveying a social message with perfect comic timing. Vipul Vig and Mrigdeep, the creative minds behind the writing and dialogues, deserve high praise for their work. The duo has created a winning formula for a blockbuster film. Abhishek Nailwal’s background score complements the comic moments, setting a new level of entertainment. The film brings back the unbreakable relationship of Hunny and Choochaa. Adds many new strings to the love-hate relationship between Bholi and the Fukrey gang. The thing to note is that Pulkit Samrat also got a chance to show off his sizzling six-pack abs.
Varun Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi stole the show with their excellent comic timing. Pulkit and Manjot Singh have reprized their roles effectively and Richa Chadha as Bholi was as strong as ever. Plus, the person we’ve all been waiting for appears to be playing a cameo role. He is none other than Ali Fazal. Along with telling the essence of Fukrey 3, Ali Fazal prepares the audience for the fact that Fukrey 4 will also come. In one word, it is a fun film that greatly entertains you in its style. The first half is quite interesting. One after the other such funny dialogues come which make you laugh a lot. In the first half, you don’t get a chance to get up from the seat. The second half is a bit weak, it seems like most of the jokes were used in the first half. There is more emphasis on social message in the second half but overall, this film respects its name and its franchise and does what Fukrey Gang has been famous for over the years. There are some shortcomings in Fukrey 3.
The film proves unsuccessful on the music front. The runtime of the film is 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is a bit long for a comedy film. Apart from this, some narrative elements could have been changed. Like the story of a South African girl named Mumbasa falling in love with Choocha and the forced inclusion of Manu Rishi Chadha’s track in the second part, these could have been cut. Despite these minor shortcomings, the entertaining film is going to prove successful in winning the hearts of the audience due to its humor. If somehow the rest of the actors of the film gradually say goodbye to this franchise and include new actors in it, then its freshness can remain intact. The character of Bholi Punjaban is becoming boring now. Although she still looks attractive in this role, her character does not seem to progress naturally in the story. Pulkit Samrat is also another weak link in the franchise. Pulkit’s character, who has almost dropped out of mainstream cinema, also has its weaknesses and there is no interest in his acting as before. Yes, Manjot Singh’s work in the role of Lali is commendable.
Fukrey 3 Review: The Last Words
Overall, watch Fukrey to be entertained. If you haven’t seen 1 and 2, then watch that also. However, the recap is shown here. If we talk about the music of the film, it is fine. However, in some scenes, you feel quite relaxed when the song Ambarsariya is played. If you ignore the small things, then this film will bring a smile to your face or if you like it a lot then you may even be seen laughing out loud. This time there is another weak link in the film Fukrey 3 and that is the music of this film. For a franchise to take off among the audience, its music must be entertaining. But songs like ‘Fukrey and Fukrey Returns were not heard in this film. Apart from the song ‘Rabba’, there is no other song that leaves an impact on the audience. Yes, Abhishek Nailwal’s background score is good. Amalendu Chaudhary’s camera is true. Manan Ashwin Mehta’s compilation is a bit crude. But overall, the film Fukrey 3 is the new kid of this comedy season whose humor will make you laugh.
