Fatma Trailer: A Netflix Original Turkish Series Starring Burcu Biricik

Here is the trailer of Netflix’s original Turkish series “Fatma”. Rising Turkish star Burcu Biricik performs the lead in “Fatma,” the hotly anticipated new Turkish Netflix Original that may drop worldwide on April 27, for which Netflix has released the official trailer few minutes ago.

This groundbreaking show produced by Başak Abacıgil, and created and directed by up-and-coming Özgür Önurme, is about a regular cleaning lady named Fatma who becomes a serial killer, but not because she’s the killer type.  After committing an accidental murder while searching for her missing ex-husband, Fatma is forced to keep killing people in order to survive.

“Murder becomes an outlet for the years of struggle and grief she had suppressed,” the press notes said.

The show has been described by Netflix director of original content for Turkey Pelin Diştaş as “a punch in the stomach” and an allegory of sorts about “how to deal with life as a woman in Turkey.”

The maker of this Turkish web series finally announced the release date of the Fatma. Fatma all set to release on Netflix on 27 April 2021.
