Fast X: Gal Gadot Will Return In The New Film Of The Franchise? Fast & Furious 10

Former Fast & Furious family member Gal Gadot is reportedly set to reprise her role as Gisele Yashar in the upcoming tenth installment of the franchise, Fast X. The news was reported by The Direct but has not yet been confirmed. Fast X – whose filming also took place in Italy – should arrive in cinemas in May 2023. If this report proves to be accurate, the Israeli-born actress would return to work with Jason Momoa, her colleague from the DC Universe.

How she might return remains a mystery as her character, Gisele, was killed off during the events of Fast & Furious 6 (released in 2013). However, this wouldn’t be the first time the franchise has brought a “deceased” character back to life. Sung Kang’s Han Lue recently returned in F9 (2021), the first appearance of the character after his supposed disappearance in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006).

Fast X: Gal Gadot Will Return In The New Film

Gal Gadot in the role of Gisele Yashar could return in Fast & Furious 10. It’s currently unclear how she will get back to her, as her character apparently died on screen while she was trying to save her boyfriend, Han Lue (Sung Kang). Gadot’s potential presence in Fast X is interesting considering the previous fate of her character. She was originally expected to reprise her role in flashback scenes from Furious 7, but these were eventually cut from the film.

There’s a scene from the seventh film that I shot that people don’t know about”, Kang said in the debut episode of Sung’s Garage Podcast. “I did a scene with Vin – Dom and Letty, and this is the one James Wan was directing. I went to Atlanta; Gal and I went to Atlanta to shoot separate scenes. They were flashback scenes“.

While details on how and why this return has not yet been revealed, it is not the first character that the franchise has brought back to life. Han, who played the love interest of Gadot’s character was also killed off but recently returned in Fast & Furious 9. The 2021 film revealed that Kurt Russell’s character, who once worked with Gisele, helped Han fake his death in exchange for coming to work for him.

The cast of Fast X will see the return of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker and Scott Eastwood. New cast members also include Rita Moreno, Jason Momoa, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior and Brie Larson. The film will be directed by Louis Leterrier, following Justin Lin’s departure in early spring. Fast X is slated for release next year, after previously being delayed by a month. The film’s cast and crew have stated that it will be worth the wait.

Fast & Furious Launched Gal Gadot’s Career

Gal Gadot first portrayed Gisele Yashar in 2009’s Fast & Furious, the fourth film in the acclaimed franchise led by Vin Diesel, the Israeli-born actress’ first international cinematic performance. She then reprised her role in Fast Five (2011) and the aforementioned Fast & Furious 6. Gadot filmed a cameo for a flashback scene in Furious 7 (2015), although it was left out of the final cut of the film.
