Eternals 2: The Sequel Is In Development, Chloé Zhao Returns To Direct! Here What We Know?
Confirmation arrives that Marvel’s Eternals 2 may be in the works. Although there has been no official announcement from the studio, actor Patton Oswalt, who played Pip the Troll in the film’s post-credits scene, appears to have let slip that a sequel is in development. “They have announced that there will be a sequel to Eternals, Chloe Zhao will direct it. So hopefully there will be more adventures of Starfox and Pip” Oswalt told Al Rocker while being interviewed for The Today Show.
MCU sequels are a regular occurrence, of course, but Eternals is the only Marvel Studios movie to have totaled “rotten” status on the Rotten Tomatoes review aggregator, and the superhero epic has also ended its run to the box. US office with a disappointing $ 164.9 million. This scored the lowest domestic tally of any MCU -set movie aside from The Incredible Hulk of 2008 ($134 million), and although the film performed much better overseas (its global hit surpassed $400 million), it was generally assumed that the performance and critical reception would negatively impact Disney’s decision to potentially expedite a follow-up.

The sequel to Eternals, therefore, could be in the works, contributing to the deepening of characters who could be part of the “New” Avengers. Eternals earned exactly double what it cost and became one of the highest-grossing films of last season.
