Enola Holmes 2: First Look and Poster Out! The Teaser Poster Hides Many Surprises

Netflix has released the first official poster of Enola Holmes 2 and in line with the investigative and mystery tenor of the story the main protagonists of the sequel – Henry Cavill and Millie Bobby Brown – are well hidden among a dense crowd. In the first film, based on the first novel in Nancy Springer’s young adult series, the Stranger Things star plays the younger – but no less brilliant – sister of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill). Enola Holmes followed the events of the young protagonist in search of her mother Eudoria, who mysteriously disappeared. Eudoria had the face of Helena Bonham Carter, while to play the role of the third of the Holmes brothers, Mycroft, was the British actorSam Claflin. Louis Partridge, Adeel Akhtar, Susie Wokoma and Fiona Shaw complete the cast. Initially, the film should have been released in theaters distributed by Warner Bros. but the closure of the cinemas due to the pandemic from Covid-19 determined its exclusive debut on Netflix, with great success.

Enola Holmes 2 is expected to arrive on the streaming platform towards the end of 2022 and the details of the plot of this second chapter have not yet been disclosed. In any case, we know that the sequel will be based on the events told in the second novel of the Springer saga, The Case of the Left-Handed Lady. In addition to Henry Cavill – who has recently returned to the set of The Witcher Season 3 after a forced stop imposed by Covid – and Millie Bobby Brown will return to Enola Holmes 2 also Partridge, Bonham Carter, Akhtar and Wokoma. Sharon Duncan-Brewster and David Thewlis are the new entries.

In the poster shared on Netflix’s official social the two protagonists are well hidden in the crowd, in nineteenth-century clothes. We can therefore take a first look at what their look will be in the film and, if we look closely, it will not be difficult to identify the other cast members. The Enola Holmes sequel does not yet have an official release date but knowing full well that Netflix does not promote its titles well in advance, as Screen Rant suggests, it is reasonable to assume that the film could debut in streaming as early as next November.
