Elves Season 1 Ending Explained On Netflix

While each episode ends with seemingly irritating cliffhangers, one is necessarily too invested to keep moving on to the next episode and see how the story unfolds. Overall, Episode 6 is by far the most successful episode and darkest storyline imaginable. The elves are apparently hungry for revenge after Josefine feeds a baby elf and accidentally kills an adult. They are now on the lookout for anything to do with human beings.

Although Josefine is still young, the spiteful Karen blames him for exaggerating the situation. In fact, she makes the little girl believe that she can work things out, and even goes so far as to tie her to a pole in order to easily sacrifice her! Fortunately, her plan backfires as Kasper, Liv, and Moller find Josefine in time. Before Karen can pull the trigger on this change of plan, she is attacked from behind by the hideous demonic-looking elves and the rest is history.

In time, the family leaves the island, and Liv joins them at the last minute. As the ferry sets sail and they are all distracted from the recent events, we see a little face with huge eyes clinging to the car engine from below, it’s Kee-Ko! Elves really needed four more episodes or so to help us really get to know these characters and understand the world as a whole. As it stands, it’s a pretty disappointing conclusion, hoping that a season 2 comes to thicken all this!

Just for the title of episode 6 entitled “Sacrifice” it starts with Josefine waking up in the forest. Karen stands menacingly beside her when it becomes clear that she is being used as a sacrificial lamb. Meanwhile, a bloodied Moller stumbles out of his house. He is still alive and has decided to help the family bring Josefine back. He knows where Karen has taken her, having previously sacrificed a cow there, and runs to help the family bring their daughter back. Eventually, they find Josefine, just as Kee-Ko appears and starts helping her with the chains as well. Unfortunately, Karen hides in the shadows and is shown pointing a gun at the family.

However, Kee-Ko jumps on Karen’s back and bites her. When Karen shoots Kee-Ko, a monstrous elf appears and immediately attacks her, mutilating her. In the forest, the gang hit an elf and couldn’t get away. Instead, they are forced to walk. The gang manages to get through the gates, the generator turns on again, and Moller hastily locks the fence. For Josefine, however, she is in conflict. On the one hand, she’s happy to be with her family, but also upset that she’s left Kee-Ko behind. As the family is happily in the car, ready to leave the island once and for all, the camera pans and reveals that Kee-Ko is clinging to the underside of the vehicle.
