Dune 2 could also have among its protagonists Florence Pugh, an actress currently engaged in negotiations with the production. Denis Villeneuve, of course, will return to direct the second part of the project produced by Legendary and Warner Bros.
The rumors claim that the director the producers would like to entrust Florence Pugh, recently star of Black Widow, with an important role in Dune: Part Two that of Princess Irulan Corrino, the eldest daughter of Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV. The actress, if she joined the cast, would star alongside stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Josh Brolin.

Currently Denis Villeneuve and Legendary have not commented on the news reported online. Shooting of the film will begin in the fall and Dune 2 all set theatrical release on October 20, 2023.
Among the new projects in which Florence will star will also be Oppenheimer, the project directed by Christopher Nolan, and The Wonder, a project that is produced for Netflix.
