Deadpool 3: Hugh Jackman Returns as Wolverine In The New Image Of The Film
As filming continues, here comes a new photo from the set of Deadpool 3 that will make fans go crazy. The actor Ryan Reynolds has shared the first image of Wolverine, played again by Hugh Jackman, through his social networks. But there’s more: Wolverine appears here wearing his iconic yellow costume, the one made famous by Marvel comics and to date never appeared on the big screen. We still don’t know what story will be behind the presence of this costume, but it is certainly a detail that will delight fans, as well as make Deadpool 3 an even more anticipated film. Below is the photo in question:
Deadpool 3: What We Know About the Movie
Although the official story details of Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds, have not yet been revealed, it is assumed that the plot will concern the Multiverse. The simplest way for Marvel Studios to unite the Deadpool film series – the only part of the X-Men franchise to survive Disney’s acquisition of Fox – is to establish that the Reynolds films took place in a different universe. This preserves Fox’s X-Men movies in their universe while allowing Deadpool and Wolverine to return and potentially travel to the main MCU universe.
In the film, there will also be characters present in the first two Deadpool films, such as Colossus and Negasonic Mutant Head. For some time, however, there have been rumors that other X-Men could also make an appearance in the film, as well as some other Marvel superheroes who appeared on the big screen in the early 2000s, in particular Ben Affleck’s Daredevil. Actress Jennifer Garner will be present in the film in the role of Elektra, which therefore resumes almost twenty years after the film dedicated to her.
Pending further confirmations, we know that Shawn Levy will direct Deadpool 3, while Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who have already signed the first two films on Merc with a Mouth, will write the screenplay based on the comics created by Rob Liefeld, confirming themselves in the creative team of the project. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously assured fans that it will remain an R-rated film, just like the first two films, which would make it the studio’s first film with such a mature rating. Deadpool 3 will be released on November 8, 2024. After the confirmation of the return of Jennifer Garner in the role of Elektra for the first time in almost 20 years now, Ryan Reynolds posted in his Instagram stories a photo that immediately made any self-respecting Marvel fan jump out of his seat: protagonists they are, needless to say, the two mutants mentioned above.
The photo published by Reynolds shows us Deadpool in the company of our Wolverine, with Hugh Jackman who for the first time finds himself wearing the classic costume (or, in any case, a version that is very close to the historical ones) of the most loved of the X-Men, with those yellow and blue hues that we have admired in years and years of comics and products of all kinds and that we now expect to find in Shawn Levy‘s film. A real bolt from the blue that only exacerbates the already good sensations in the third chapter of the adventures of our Wade Wilson: what do you think? Let us know in the comments! In the meantime, to give us hope, there are also the words of those who ensure that the passage of Deadpool to Disney has not changed anything.
