A new German crime/thriller series arrives on Netflix. It’s called Crooks and it’s the title of a dramatic series with dark tones, written by the team of screenwriters Benjamin Hessler, Marvin Kren, and Georg Lippert and directed by Cüneyt Kaya and Marvin Kren. Set against the backdrop of Berlin and the Bavarian region, the series centers on a family man whose past comes back to haunt him and his family. Crooks: The Plot
Charly lives with his family in Berlin in peace until his dark past resurfaces. Old “acquaintances” threaten his family to force him to organize the theft of a precious coin. Joseph, a Viennese driver of the clan, will have to take the stolen treasure to Austria, but the ingenious plan fails, and someone dies during a shootout. Thus, the destinies of Charly and Joseph are intertwined: they will have to escape and bring Charly’s family to safety. To protect what matters most to them, the two thieves will have to face the clans of Berlin, Vienna, and Marseille. And to make it, they can only count on each other. Thus begins an exciting road adventure that crosses the borders of three nations.
