Cold Case Review: The Review and Analysis
Crime thriller Horror Many movies in these two genres have already entertained the audience. What are the different ones? The story ends with the police solving a case in a crime thriller. Is the protagonist in the horror thriller working like a ghost? The story ends with that soul taking revenge. ‘Cold Case’ is a film that combines the two. At the beginning of the film, the director tried to bring it straight into the story. He says we’re watching a crime thriller with a skull coming out of the pond. On the one hand, taking up Satyajit’s case, trying to gather evidence through the tax levied on the skull, on the other hand, the suspicion that someone was wandering around after Medha moved into the new house, and the extradition of a woman who knew about the spirits to find out who was in the house. All the scenes are thrilling. Another good work done by the director is that the story does not go sideways. Subplots, songs, romantic scenes, fights did not go unnoticed. The groove surely carried him to the point he had chosen, like a train going over the rails. However, that train occasionally runs a bit slower, sometimes faster!
Storytelling slows down after the second half begins. The story, the articles don’t move forward unless they seem to be spinning around. Satyajit Ray on the one hand and Medha on the other. It seems that one is investigating this case without knowing it. The director brought the story straight to the climax. The question of who the killer is strikes the audience watching the movie. The last 30 minutes go by excitedly but it feels like the end has come quickly. It would have been nice if the two had continued some more drama in the story after meeting. However, the director may have felt that the length would have increased if the story had been reversed. Audiences can enjoy a good thriller movie, as theaters are not open at the moment. Language does not work for movies like this. The feeling is that everyone will fail. Subtitles are available anyway.
Cold Case Review: The Performances and Direction
Prithviraj Sukumaran as ACP Satyajit did not mind. Since it is a crime thriller, there is no big scope for acting. Depending on the script. The rest of the characters are not familiar to the Telugu people. Performed nicely to the extent of their roles. Technically the movie is good. Prakash Alex’s background music added strength to the film. Girish Gangadharan, Joman T. John Cinematography OK. Their talents can be seen in horror scenes. Shamir Mohammad Editing is good. Put as much as the film needs. Srinath V. Nath The selected point is OK. The story was written by combining two different genres. Malayalam ‘Drishyam’ and Tamil ‘Eeram’ films are remembered here and there. Srinath’s story was screened by the director himself as a child. Even if taken directly into the story, the narrative goes on slowly. In the same way the climax seems to end quickly
The film manages to entertain as well as inform, with its horror atmosphere and the musical arrangement used on small screens. Feeling we have ‘Run out of gas’ emotionally on the big screen. Debutant filmmaker Tanu Balak has taken care to capture the beauty of the sets that are often seen when a director with many years of experience in the field of advertising enters the film industry.
Cold Case Review: Music and Other Parts
Gireesh Gangadharan’s cinematography and Prakash Alex’s music give the film a thriller feel and suspense. Tanu Balak is promising as a director. Editor Sameer Mohammad has also managed to cut the film so that it does not feel slippery. Medha’s track stopped flowing like an aimless river in the second half and if the film had gone completely through Satyajit, it would have won the Cold Case applause as a great suspense thriller. However, the film was not a disappointing experience. The failure to illuminate Medha’s track and Satyajit’s track draws the film back to its totality.
Cold Case Review: The Last Words
Cold Case is a decent thriller to watch if you have not much else to do. The film follows the format of the average Malayalam film, and ends up as a generic thriller. The film could be better but overall the cinematography and music won the heart. Well overall we expected more from Prithviraj’s movie we are giving 3/5 stars.
