Chucky Season 1: Ending Explained! Is Kyle Really Dead? Who Is The Person Hidden At The End?

Over the course of the season, we’ve seen that Chucky Season 1 can be more than difficult to handle, even though he’s just a doll. It’s extremely difficult to kill him, but surprisingly, Chucky dies four times in the season finale. To be precise, four different versions of Chucky die in the episode. The episode establishes that while each doll is essentially a form of Chucky, it represents a certain level of individualism.

Chucky Season 1

In the starting in the episodes, Kyle kills a version of Chucky to save the life of Lexy and Jake. Later, Tiffany and Andy kill the Chucky doll who tormented Jake and Lexy from the start. A second version becomes Junior’s mate soon after he leaves home with Tiffany, while another becomes Caroline’s mate. These two versions are killed by Jake and Junior in the final act. As part of a charity event, Tiffany donates the some of hte dolls to needy children. Following Chucky’s carnage at the screening, the dolls are transported to the airport, hinting that Chucky will soon terrorize the entire country.

Chucky Season 1: Ending Explained Is Kyle Really Dead?

One of the dolls exclaims that his ultimate goal is to take over the whole country, and Chucky has taken the first step towards that goal by sending versions of himself across the country. However, for now, it looks like Hackensack is freed from the dolls. It appears that Andy survived the blast, but Kyle’s fate remains undetermined. Andy is held hostage by the Tiffany doll, who is hiding with the Chucky dolls. She forces Andy to drive to the airport, implying that Chucky’s plan has been successful. On the other hand, Kyle may have survived the blast, but her condition is probably worse than Andy’s, which would explain why she doesn’t reappear.

Elsewhere, poor Nica’s struggles continue, and this time her ordeal is much more tragic. In the episode, Tiffany drugs Nica and chases her out of the house. We don’t see Nica again until the very end, where Tiffany makes sure Chucky doesn’t take back possession of Nica’s body. To do this, Tiffany amputated Nica’s arms and legs. Arguably it’s a fate worse than death for Nica, who can’t seem to get out of the chaos Chucky has brought into her life.

Who Is The Person Hidden At The End?

A clue to this may have appeared at the end of Season 1 of Chucky. Jake, Lexy and Devon gather to mourn Junior a mysterious figure is secretly watching them from a distance. All we saw of this figure was a black glove. It was enough, however, to assume it was Kyle.

After all, episode 7 of Chucky, showed that she had bought black gloves for herself and Andy. Kyle also visibly wore these gloves throughout Chucky’s Season 1 ending, right up to the aforementioned explosion. So it’s possible that she was tasked with looking after the surviving teenagers and / or looking after Tiffany while Andy looked after the Chucky doll truck.

Of course, all of the above might just be a cleverly crafted misconception by Don Mancini. After all, Andy appeared to be in mourning when he took revenge on the truck carrying Chucky’s army. Between that and Devon talking about standing together in fights just before the gloved figure emerges and spooky music is played, it could be a future threat rather than a friend.

One option for who this threat might be could be Glenda. She hasn’t been seen since she became human in Seed of Chucky, and audiences are eagerly awaiting her and Glen’s return. The Chucky Season 1 finale mentioned Glenda and even established that they had played a role in the Hackensack plot. So it’s possible that the gloved hand belonged to Chucky’s offspring, who arrived to get revenge on Jake, Devon, and Lexy, who disrupted the plan and killed Chucky.
