Castlevania: Nocturne – The Teaser Announces The Animated Series Netflix Based On The Video Game
Castlevania: Nocturne: On the final day of Geeked Week, dedicated to games – June 10 – the streaming giant Netflix announced the arrival of several products taken from some of the most followed and appreciated videogames sagas. Surprisingly, the teaser trailer of a Castlevania spin-off – a series taken from the famous video game – entitled Castlevania: Nocturne has been released. From these first images, the protagonist of the show is Richter Belmont, son of Syphia and Trevor, the couple at the center of the original series.
Castlevania: Nocturne – Trailer And Plot
Castlevania: Nocturne then tells the story of the young Richter Belmont, set in 1792 in France, at the height of the Revolution. Next to the protagonist will also appear Maria Renard. Belmont and Renard appear in the video game Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, as well as in a few other pieces of the prolific saga, such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Kevin Kolde – author of the original series – is the showrunner of the project along with Clive Bradley.
Castlevania is the only adaptation of the videogame saga appreciated by both critics and the public. The Netflix series consists of four seasons and is taken from the third installment of the franchise created by Konami, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. The protagonist is Trevor Belmont, who must protect Wallachia from Dracula and his creatures. Voicing Trevor in the original version is Richard Armitage – Thorin Oakenshield in the prequel trilogy of The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit. Next to him are James Callis (Adrian Tepes \ Alucard), Graham McTavish (Vlad Dracula Tepes), Alejandra Reynoso (Sypha Belnades), and Tony Amendola (The Elder), and Emily Swallow (Lisa Tepes). Castlevania: Nocturne is currently in the works and the official release window has not been announced. Like the original series, it will be a horror-tinged, adult animated product. No further plot details have been revealed either, except for what can be seen from the dialogue clips of the teaser trailer.
