Cannes 2024: The Complete List of Films Premiering at the Film Festival
Cannes 2024, the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which will be held from 14 to 25 May 2024, is approaching and we finally know which films will be presented as world premieres, both in the official competition categories and in the other sections. We had already learned that Cannes 2024 will open with The Second Act, the latest film by the prolific French director Quentin Dupieux, presented among the Out of Competition. The same section will also include George Miller’s latest work, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Horizon: An American Saga directed by and starring international star Kevin Costner. Nothing has happened, however, for Terrence Malick: for his The Way of the Wind we will have to wait for the 2025 edition.
Cannes 2024: The Complete List of Films Premiering
This year, the jury will be chaired by American director, screenwriter, and actress Greta Gerwig, while French actress Camille Cottin will host the opening and closing ceremonies. On May 25, 2024, at the very end of the festival, George Lucas will receive the special lifetime achievement award of the Honorary Palme d’Or. There is a lot of anticipation of being able to see all the most anticipated feature films of the year. We at ScreenWorld will be there to admire them and be able to tell you everything you need to know.
