(Ruth Gemmell). After that magical night, he struggles to find the woman who has stolen his heart, but he has no clue about her identity, so he seeks help from those closest to him. The protagonist soon wins over the Bridgerton sisters with her literary knowledge, while Benedict once again undertakes the search for the Silver Lady.
Although the attraction between the protagonists remains palpable every time they get dangerously close in the hallways or meet in a room, neither wants to jeopardize Sophie’s job at the Bridgerton home, where she has finally found something similar to a family. Everything goes wrong when Lady Violet (Ruth Gemmell) believes she has found Benedict’s Silver Lady in Miss Hollis and invites her to tea. Sophie ends up taking care of them, and Benedict’s discomfort at putting the protagonist in that situation causes an accident with drinking. Although Hollis turns out not to be the Silver Lady, Sophie tells Benedict that she can’t stay at the Bridgerton house if he continues to live there, so the second brother moves into their bachelor home.
The distance between them does not last long because the artist, who considers the search for the mysterious masked lady settled, decides precipitated by two key conversations. Although in the Regency it is very normal for the nobility to have lovers and Anthony Bridgerton himself (Jonathan Bailey) had one in the first season, as Colin (Luke Newton) remembers, Sophie is an illegitimate daughter and does not want to repeat the story of his mother.
