Bond 26: Everything We Know So Far Release Date Cast A sequel to No Time To Die

No Time To Die is the 25th movie of the ever popular James Bond film series. It follows a retired James Bond who returns to the deadly spy business to save a scientist and stop Lyutsifer Safin from unleashing a biological weapon that threatens the entire world. After a long wait, the spy film directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga has finally arrived on our screens. Its release sparked a wave of discussion about the future of the franchise that has evolved successfully over several decades.

The fact that the film is the last in the series starring Daniel Craig as the super-stylish secret agent is a high-profile fact, and it calls for another phase of transition for the franchise. If you’re curious about what Agent 007 has in store and what the next episode in the James Bond series will look like, here’s everything we know about Bond 26.

What Release Date For James Bond 26?

Like its predecessors, No Time To Die ends with the promise that “James Bond will return” after the credits roll, ensuring that Bond 26 is on the way. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, given the popularity of the franchise, but it hints at a few more details about 007’s future.

The other piece apparently confirmed by the statement that “James Bond will return” is that whoever the next star in the franchise is, it is likely to be a man with Craig, the co-writer of No Time to Die. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and James Bond franchise producer Barbara Broccoli, who have all made recent statements in favor of a male Bond.

Therefore, it may be too early to say when production for the new iteration will begin. The films in the franchise are typically released 2-4 years after their predecessors, with the notable exception of GoldenEye and Dying Can Wait, which were released six years after the previous installment. All things considered, we might see  Bond 26 on our screen in 2024, at the earliest.

Cast Who Will Be The Returning?

While James Bond himself will be recast for Bond 26, some of the franchise’s other recent stars may return to reprise their current personas. In the past, the actors of M, Q, Moneypenny and other recurring characters have often made the jump from one Leap to the next.

At least some of them would definitely like to. Ben Whishaw’s contract ends after No Time to Die, but he has stated that he would be interested in reprising the character. Ralph Fiennes, who replaced Dench as M in Skyfall, has also expressed his desire to continue playing the role.

And given the popularity of Naomie Harris’ Moneypenny, there’s a chance she’ll return under the right circumstances as well. So far, however, nothing has been confirmed. It would be great to see familiar faces as Bond characters in the next episode, but a fresh start could be good for the franchise as well.
