Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 11: Finally The Breaking Bad Crossover! This Is What Happens In The Episode
As promised, Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 11 is titled Breaking Bad and brings back Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman for the crossover reunion fans have been waiting for years. Closing the open circle from the original Breaking Bad series, in which Saul Goodman’s character made his debut in an episode titled ‘Better Call Saul, the new episode of Breaking Bad – the third to last of the series with Bob Odenkirk, which is about to come to an end -starts from where it all began with Saul hostage by Walt and Jesse, as seen in the episode 2.08 of Breaking Bad (during the narration the famous joke about Lalo Salamanca will also find space, which after years of theories by fans will be commented directly from the characters, in a meta-narrative short circuit to say the least brilliant).
Better Call Saul Season 6 Episode 11: Here What Happened
The episode is set on two timelines, Gene’s future in black and white (because ‘the colors’ have disappeared from his life, so to speak) and Saul’s past in color, which intersects with the events of Walt and Jesse. Another scene about mid-episode is reminiscent of other events from Breaking Bad, with Mike walking into Saul’s office and revealing all the information he uncovered about Walt and Jesse, including the fact that the famous Heisenberg teaches high school, chemistry lung cancer patients.
The two timelines ‘dialogue’ continuously through fades and internal references, and in the end both storylines remain pending: in the present (or future) Gene risks a last blow against a poor victim (also with cancer) while in the past Saul enters the JP Wynne High School, creating a perfect reference to Breaking Bad: as fans will remember, in fact, in the episode ‘Better Call Saul’ the azecagarbugli from Albuquerque entered Walt’s classroom and revealed to him that he had found it thanks to his detectives.
