The next day, Luis appears dead and without the map in his body, so Miguel becomes the police’s first suspect. The guide who also scams tourists tells his uncle Wilson (Juan Pablo Medina), a talented forger, about Aj Took’s secret treasure, which includes the Kaan Balam, a jaguar statue made of solid gold. With the help of Lilí, Wilson, and Lucas, who in addition to being the son of the hotel owner is a hacker, Miguel sneaks into the newly opened museum of Ariel (Andrés Baida), a famous archaeologist and favorite student of Juan Morales, to access detailed maps of the Spanish Inquisition. Despite some setbacks, he achieves them and reunites with his team, without imagining that someone in the shadows follows his every step. When they realize that the spies are giving false information, they head to the right place. The clues take them to a cenote, but to reach the deepest part they need an excellent swimmer, so they summon Citlali (Andrea Chaparro), a skilled pickpocket who, upon discovering what it is, demands part of the loot. Once they have the moonstone in their hands, a man with part of his face burned and who claims to have known Miguel for a long time threatens them to keep the loot. The guide promises to deliver the stone if he lets his friends go but swallows the artifact.

After taking Miguel, the Boss hires a veterinarian to perform surgery on the gang leader and obtain the moonstone. The rest of the group manages to find the location of his partner and request the help of Octavio (Nicolás Furtado), a former soldier and thief, to rescue him. After an arduous battle, they escape from the place and take Miguel to his father, since the archaeologist who now suffers from Alzheimer’s may have more information. Juan reveals that the moonstone is a key and that they need two more to find the treasure. Before the Bandidos can continue with their adventure, they are arrested by the police, and the Chief kidnaps Juan and threatens Miguel to get him to collaborate. Lilí turns to Ariel so that she and the group can regain her freedom, something that Miguel does not like. The gang considers breaking up, but the Boss’s terrible threat keeps them together. The next step is to find the other two keys, which are found in the tombs of the other conquerors. Additionally, they recruit Officer Inés (Mabel Cadena), who needs the money to get her son back.

With the three keys in their hands, the group believes they have gotten rid of their pursuers, but the man with the burned face soon locates them. To rescue Juan and decipher the location of the treasure, Miguel agrees to ask Ariel for help, who welcomes him with delight and tries to interpret the diary of her former teacher. When they finally discover that the treasure is in a pyramid, Wilson makes replicas of the sun and earth stones to deliver to the boss. During the exchange, Lilí stays at Ariel’s house to continue the investigation, while Miguel and the rest confront the Boss. At that moment, it is revealed that the man with the burned face works for Ariel, who wants the jaguar statue for his museum. However, Miguel is one step ahead and subdues Ariel, while Lilí, Octavio, and Inés rescue Juan.

Who is the Traitor of the Group?

While the plane is heading to the pyramid, the group gets drunk and when they wake up, they realize that the pilot jumped by parachute and must do the same to survive. Everything seems to indicate that there is a traitor among them, but who is it? There is no time to find out, everyone reaches land safely, reunites, and gets back on the road. However, the man with the burned face arrives first and takes a letter. Furthermore, he points out Lilí as the traitor. Lilí is being persecuted by some very powerful people and Ariel offers her help. While she returns to the city, the rest of the group is locked in one of the catacombs, however, Octavio and Inés arrive in time to save them. For her part, Inés drugs Ariel and reveals that she never actually betrayed her friends, she just played along with the archaeologist to get more clues about the treasure.

Who Really is the Man With the Burnt Face?

When the Bandidos have Ariel tied up, the man with the burned face appears and shoots the archaeologist. He intends to do the same with Miguel, but Wilson gets in the way and gets stabbed. The Chief also reveals that he was also an archaeologist and that years ago he met Juan and his son De el. After a confrontation, little Miguel started a fire to escape from his pursuers. After the Chief and his men lock up the group, Octavio and Inés once again come to the rescue. Miguel wants to take his uncle to the hospital, but he tells her that he has terminal cancer and that he prefers to die his way. After discovering that the treasure is in the sea between Yucatán and Cuba, the group gets on a boat and says goodbye to Wilson, who before dying gives a new passport to Lilí, who is now called Daniela.

While Miguel tries to negotiate, Lilí tries to escape with the loot. To avoid this, Miguel shoots him.
