Avengers: The Kang Dynasty: Marvel Presents Us The New Thanos of More Worse Villain
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty: It all started with the formation of the Avengers when in 2008 Jon Favreau started telling us the story of Iron Man/Tony Stark and Kenneth Branagh followed him to show us the first Thor. It was up to the Hulk and then to Captain America, all ready to reunite when under the aegis of Joss Whedon, it was time to invoke the Avengers: it was April 25, 2012, and Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ended, after four years, but no one expected that one day a common enemy would come and they would all have to take sides.
Or rather, we suspected it, we hoped it, but that Phase Three could lead us to Infinity War and Endgame was not information that we could have processed in our imagination. Now, after the Marvel announcements at Comic-Con 2022 and three years after that incredible event, we are ready to experience a historic appeal, with a new great enemy: it’s Kang’s time.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty: From The Origin Story To The Final Battle
Just as Phase One had told the singularities of each of the Avengers, Phase Four is leading us towards some resolution of those plots and the addition of new elements in other characters involved in the defense of the Earth and the Galaxy. If Spider-Man must experience a new spring, deprived of all affections and those who remembered Peter Parker, and Doctor Strange will have to face the consequences of the Multiverse, Falcon will have to confirm himself as the new Captain America, until he gets to find out who he could be. the new Black Panther, after the death of Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther Wakanda Forever). Unlike what happened with Thanos, however, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has already titillated our imagination by showing us Kang in the Loki series.
Present yourself to us as the One Who Remains, the time traveler who encounters Sylvie and the god of deception during their journey between the various universes and the various timelines, in an attempt to eradicate the scam, set up by the TVA. The story of Kang is thus sown to make us understand that soon his return will take place and will also be impressive, despite having within himself a lower destructiveness than that shown by Thanos. The titan yearned for the equilibrium of the universes, he wanted to equalize the conditions of human beings and for this to kill, in an equitable way, the exact half of the forms of life. Kang, on his side, aspires to the submission of human beings, as done with the ultra-diode gun carried in the present since the fortieth century.
Kang The Conqueror and The Secret Wars
Always dedicated to the study of strategy in battle and to becoming a great conqueror, hence his name, Kang exploits the advantages of knowledge to get the better of his opponents. Specialized in time travel, he had the opportunity to meet Thanos during his travels and to express his appreciation for the goal he had set for himself. It’s coming and going over time, however, generates, in the Marvel publishing history, the Secret Wars, another important episode of the Cinematic Universe announced at Comi-Con in San Diego.
The continuous travels had generated a series of alternative versions of the character of Kang, already, one day, to reunite in the Time Council: among the variants could appear the One Who Remains, who claims to have seen many versions of himself evil, but at the same time the comics also tell us about Immortus, a future version of Kang who longs for peace and goes back in time to live in peace, only to be contacted by the Keepers of Time who offer him immortality in exchange for guarding the timelines. An identikit that brings this version very close to that of Loki, who finds himself in Limbo.
The Kang Dynasty
Phase 5 and Phase 6 will live a lot according to the story of Kang, which will inevitably intertwine with the Fantastic Four: their announcement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe refers us directly to the figure of Nathaniel, a descendant of the Richards family. The Fantastic Family will have to be introduced in some way and taking advantage of Kang’s presence it could also be the right time to show us excerpts of the meeting between Rama-Tut and Reed Richards. It is no coincidence that we are talking about Dynasty, therefore of a family, which, although not official, could be Reed’s. All focused on the arrival at Secret Wars, as mentioned, where Doctor Doom, together with Doctor Strange, will work to ensure that the final raid between Earth-616 and Earth -1610 is stopped in the bud.
The Marvel comics tell us about two different Secret Wars (recovered here in our special on the next Marvel crossover): the first, written by Jim Shooter in 1984, tells of the Arcanum that selects heroes and villains of the Universe to make them fight on the planet Battle world; the second, written by Jonathan Hickman in 2015, talks about a Multiversal event that starts from the Incursions mentioned by Steven Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. From here we have the intervention of Doctor Doom to avoid the collapse of the dimensions and the supposition that the film that will close Phase 6 may be a mix of the two, with Kang in the role of the Arcanum.
