In addition to Gordon Cormier (A Christmas in the Stars) playing the protagonist Aang and Kiawentiio Tarbell (Anne with an E) playing Katara, the cast of the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender also brings together names such as Daniel Dae Kim (The Good Doctor) playing Fire Lord Ozai, Tamlyn Tomita (Karate Kid 2) playing Yukari, Ken Leung (Saw) as Commander Zhao and Yvonne Chapman (Kung Fu) as Kyoshi. Avatar: The Last Airbender Netflix

Netflix has gone all out when it comes to adaptations. If in 2023 he surprised all his subscribers with One Piece, one of the best adaptations of an anime that I remember, in 2024 he will do it again with ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender‘, the flesh and blood version (live-action) of the popular animated series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko back in 2005. An animation classic that combined adventure and fantasy with martial arts and that ran for 3 seasons and 61 chapters, functioning as a prequel to ‘The Legend of Korra’, also known as ‘The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra‘.

Here is the Synopsis Shared By Netflix:

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. But, like a light in the darkness, hope emerges when Aang (Gordon Cormier), a young Air Nomad – and the last of his kind – awakens to take his rightful place as the next Avatar. Alongside his new friends Sokka (Ian Ousley) and Katara (Kiawentiio), brothers and members of the Southern Water Tribe, Aang embarks on a fantastic, action-packed journey to save the world and fight the fearsome attack of the Lord of Ozai Fire. Daniel Dae Kim). But with Crown Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu) determined to capture them, it won’t be an easy task. They will need help from the many colorful allies and characters they will meet along the way.
