Attack on Titan anime is reaching its conclusion with the last special episodes produced by Studio MAPPA and now there is also a date for the final act. The last episode of the anime will be broadcast in Japan on November 4th, the date on which the journey of Eren, Armin, and Mikasa will reach its conclusion, with the public who have not read the manga finally being able to discover the epilogue of the work. Those who are already aware of the ending, because they are readers of the manga, will be able to relive the final moments of Attack on Titan in animation, after the excellent work done by Studio MAPPA in recent years and by WIT in the previous seasons, i.e. up to the third.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3: The Trailer and Release Date
The sequences of the new trailer are, indeed, dramatic and frenetic. The war between humanity and Eren Yeager reaches its climax, but the surprises are far from over. The emotional tension is palpable, it is felt through the eyes of the protagonists shaken by the actions of the one they considered a friend and who now find themselves having to stop the genocide he plotted and unleashed by his idea of ”freedom”. Eren has evolved into the Giant of the End and proceeds towards Fort Salta preceded by hordes of Giants controlled by him. Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Reiner, Pieck, and Levi, who barely escaped the inevitability of the Giants’ march, appear before the refugees in desperation. The battle between Eren and his childhood companions reaches its conclusion.
The anime series is produced by the animation studio MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen, among other adaptations) and the final episode merges into Attack on Titan Final Season 3: Part 2. The first half of the third part is available outside Japan, therefore also in Italy and subtitled form, on Crunchyroll from March 3, 2023. The hour-long special is divided into two episodes released on the same day and at the same time only for on-demand streaming services overseas. The titles of the two episodes that form the first part are The Roar of the Earth and Sinners. The episode is identified with the progressive number 88, taking into account the previous seasons, and resumes the adaptation from Chapter 131 (Volume 33) entitled, precisely, Il Boato.
Attack on Titan: Final Season
The first part of the Final Season of Attack on Titan began on 7 December 2020 and ended on 29 March 2021, collecting a total of 16 episodes. The anime series was produced by the animation studio MAPPA and in Italy it is available in its entirety for viewing with both subtitles and dubbing on Prime Video. It has recently also been visible on Netflix. The second part is now available dubbed in Italian on Prime Video. The main staff of Attack on Titan Final Season includes director Yuichiro Hayashi, character designer Tomohiro Kishi, animation chief Daisuke Niinuma, art director Kazuo Ogura, 3D CG director Takahiro Uezono, screenwriter Hiroshi Seko. The music is entrusted to Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto.
Excluding the anime’s grueling (in terms of release timing) final season, the manga has already concluded in 2021 and we already know how Attack on Titan ends, with Isayama having repeatedly reiterated that there will be no sequel of Attack on Titan, even if the ending of the work is quite open. However, Hita’s mangaka said he was still open to the idea of creating an Attack on Titan spin-off that further explores Captain Levi’s past. Whether it is something related to the anime, the manga, or another project, we will only be able to find out in a few weeks.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 Finale: The Story Plot
Isayama began serializing Attack on Titan on September 9, 2009, in Kōdansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine. The manga officially ended on April 9, 2021, with the publication of the last volume, chapter 139.
This is the plot of the original work which in Italy is published by Panini through the Planet Manga label: “Eren is a teenager who lives in one of these cities, where a giant has not been seen for over a century, but soon an unspeakable horror appears at the gates of the city with a much taller than normal and much more intelligent giant who knocks down the walls sowing death and destruction among the population. Having overcome the initial terror, Eren promises to eliminate every single giant, to avenge his family who perished in the attack and all of humanity, enlisting in the ranks of the Reconnaissance Army, a military corps made up of soldiers who face the giants to kill them using a particular equipment. Joining him in this new adventure are his dearest childhood companions: Mikasa Ackermann and Armin Arlert“.
But how will this story continue and what will happen in Attack on Titan 4 Part 3? Part 2 concluded on April 3 with the episode Dawn of Humanity, in which the plot of the series remains more than open. The protagonists tried to stop Eren and the Earth Roar, in vain. The Colossals have arrived on the mainland, and have begun to destroy the Continent, led by Eren’s Founder. Meanwhile, viewers discovered that Historia was aware of the plan to break the cycle of death created by Eren, to explain to her how this was the only alternative that could avoid her transformation into a giant. In fact, by doing so Historia would not have had to devour Zeke; however, the girl opposed Eren’s plan of destruction, and she decided to have a child. Meanwhile, Mikasa wonders what would have happened if she had spoken openly to Eren about her feelings: Wouldn’t this situation have happened? We will discover the fate of the protagonists only with Attack on Titan 4 part 3, the plot of which is already known to those who have read the manga by Author Hajime Isayama. However, to avoid spoilers for those watching the anime, we will wait to have previews specifically on the series.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 release
Although it was thought that Attack on Titan 4 Part 2 would write the “end” to this beloved story, this was not the case. These were not the last episodes of the anime, which will instead end at a later time. This is because it has been announced that Attack on Titan 4 will return with a Part 3, and we will find out immediately when it comes out. Attack on Titan 4 Part 3 will be available in 2023 in simulcast on Crunchyroll, in the original language with subtitles.
