The first season undoubtedly saw Shubh Joshi (Vishesh Bansal) portray Dhananjay Rajput (Arshad Warsi) and Nikhil with cold ruthless wit. There was turmoil in the life of Nair (Barun Sobti). The same Shubh Bada Hokar (Abhishek Chauhan) has brought the game of checkmate to a whole new level in the new season. In this context, the eight episodes of Asur Season 2 are interesting. At present the web series Asur Season 2 is trending on social media. Its first season also rocked OTT and this time it has been released on OTT to entertain people with full preparation. People seem very excited about this web series. Some people have even seen it and are reacting to it on Twitter. If people believe, the web series Asur Season 2 has been very good. Some people are calling it more powerful than season one. Its story starts from where the first season ended. Let us tell you the story of Asur Season 2, its review, and where you can watch this web series.

Asur Season 2 Review: The Story Plot

Asur Season 2 begins where the first season ended. A ghost-like serial killer is on the run hiding his face behind a mask. Barun Sobti plays forensic expert Nikhil Nair in the show. His relationship with his wife Naina (Anupriya Goenka) has deteriorated due to the loss of their daughter. Naina is an expert in computers. The past is catching up with Nikhil. CBI officer Dhananjay Rajput (Arshad Warsi) has taken to spirituality to escape the bitter memories of the past. Meanwhile, the CBI is on the trail of Asur as he is out hunting once again. Nikhil is trying to solve the case by staying within the ambit of the rules, while Dhananjay does not want to bind himself in the chain of rules anymore. Naina supports him in this. The platform has released only two episodes so far. The remaining six episodes will be released daily from June 2 to 7.

The biggest difference in the story of Asur Season 2 as compared to the previous season is that here Asur i.e. Shubh has made modern technology a weapon of war. He enters the world of artificial intelligence and learns to use it with sharp intelligence and shakes the whole country and even the power. There is no place for good people in the world of good. It creates a situation of national emergency. Stealing data from the world’s largest social media company brings havoc in the lives of common people. Is artificial intelligence the real demon today? The breaths of millions of lives are under its control. Amidst all this, Dhananjay and Nikhil’s fight against Asur continues. However, like last time, here too the problem of trust-distrust between the two persists. This brings ups and downs in the story. In between, the character of Rasool Sheikh (Amey Wagh) also touches the hearts of the audience.

Asur Season 2 begins one step ahead of the first season and events grow rapidly until the first three episodes. The team of writers and directors lay the foundation of new things here. But with the expansion of events in the middle three episodes, the game of Dhananjay-Nikhil’s eyewitness against Shubh reaches new rounds. Many things happen here like miracles and do not seem believable. As a result, the series starts to look like a simple crime story and the thrill slows down a bit. But the good thing is that the graph rises again in the last two episodes. However, the result of Shubh, which brings everyone to their knees, has been told so easily that it surprises and disappoints to some extent. Makers have indicated that despite the end of Shubh, there may be a return of Asur.

Asur Season 2 Review and Analysis

Jio Cinema has released two episodes on the first day and the remaining six will be released one by one every day. Although all the episodes have been sent for review in the media. The story of Asur Season 2 begins when the first season ends. Soon the series picks up pace. This time the story of Shubh moves forward with the concept of the incarnation of Kali and Kalki. Kali, having first drunk poison and then nectar in the churning of the ocean, is alive for ages by changing its form. He is on a mission to destroy humanity. He sees nothing beyond selfishness and explains that whatever is happening is destiny. Everything has to be destroyed in the end. Kali goes on destroying. So, the question arises, when will Kalki incarnate to save the people? In the series, you see the ‘miracle boy’ Ananth (Atharva Vishwakarma) and you realize that this is Kalki incarnate! This character also reminds me of the tradition of the Dalai Lama.

Actors and technicians have done their work well in the series. There is sharpness in Barun Sobti‘s performance. There is also diversity in his character. The father who has lost his daughter, the pain of separation from his wife, working with his senior despite disagreements with him, the mind games, and conflicts with Asur, all of which he portrays with gusto. Arshad Warsi is nineteen years away from him, but for this, the writers and directors needed to work. The roles of Riddhi Dogra and Anupriya Bansal run on a straight track. While Vishal Bansal and Atharva Vishwakarma are frozen in their respective roles. The background music of the series gives it strong support. The camera work is good but fails to make the required impact in some of the larger-than-life scenes. If you have seen the first season of Asur, then definitely the second one will solve your curiosities.

When the first season was over, the audience wanted to know who the real Asur was and what would happen to him. At the same time, in the second season, everything will come out in the open. Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti come to know a lot while working on this case. However, each character seems troubled by their problems. And after the daughter’s death, wife Naina decides to divorce Nikhil. Nikhil breaks down badly and distances himself from everyone. Arshad Warsi has reached Ashra for peace, while Naina goes to Arshad Warsi to get her daughter’s murderers punished. After being suspended, Dhananjay reaches an ashram in Dharamshala. There he finds great peace. But in the end, Dhananjay and Nikhil have to unite on this case. The court, on the other hand, released Kesar Bhardwaj on bail as there is no evidence of him being an ‘Asur‘. Will the effect be caught; this thing will be known only after watching the series.

Asur Season 2 Review: The Last Words

Asur Season 2 web series will be able to keep you hooked on TV from the beginning. Even more, twists are seen in Asur Season 2 as compared to the first season. This web series was released today i.e., on 1st June. You can watch this web series on the Jio Cinema OTT platform.
