All Netflix Series Coming In January 2023: Vikings Valhalla, Kaleidoscope, The Lying Life of Adults, Copenhagen Cowboy, and More

All Netflix Series Coming In January 2023
As for the adaptations of successful novels, there will be The Lying Life of Adults, inspired by the novel of the same name by Elena Ferrante, and Lockwood & Co., based on the novels by Jonathan Stroud. Finally, for Vikings lovers, the return of Vikings is expected: Valhalla, which will have to try to smooth out the defects seen in the past, to fully exploit her potential.
Kaleidoscope Season 1 (January 1, 2023)
Eight-episode anthology series directed by Eric Garcia about a group of thieves breaking into a seemingly impenetrable safe. At a superficial glance, the above premise might seem typical of any title of this type, but what makes Kaleidoscope different from other series, is its choice to present a non-linear storyline, which will give the viewer the power of choice on the order to follow to watch the various episodes.
Each chapter is characterized by a title that refers to a different color, and the viewer will have to choose from which to start and how to continue, for a story that, depending on the sequence followed, will change its skin, offering different points of view on the same story. In addition to the interesting expedient used for the main story, it is also worth noting the presence in the cast of Giancarlo Esposito in the role of one of the protagonists, for a series that will surely capture the attention of every subscriber.
The Lying Life of Adults Season 1 (January 4, 2023)
Adapted from Elena Ferrante’s novel of the same name, The Lying Life of Adults stars Giovanna (Giordana Marengo), a teenage girl who tries to understand herself, in the course of a coming-of-age story set in Naples in the 1990s.
Giovanna comes from a wealthy family, but her true inspiration is found in her aunt Vittoria, a figure unlike any other who helps the girl in her search for her true identity. The lying life of adults sees Edoardo De Angelis at the helm of the series, who worked on the screenplay together with Elena Ferrante, Laura Paolucci and Francesco Piccolo.
Copenhagen Cowboy Season 1 (January 5, 2023)
Created by Nicolas Winding Refn, Copenhagen Cowboy will be a noir series centered on the enigmatic Miu (Angela Bundalovic), endowed with particular powers and determined to carry out a personal vendetta among the city’s criminal underworld. The goal of Miu’s mission is her nemesis Rakel (Lola Corfixen), but meeting her won’t be easy, and the protagonist will have to face numerous obstacles in her path.
Considering who the author of the title is, we can expect a style and direction that are neat and close to Refn’s other works, for an artist who usually always clearly shows his hand. We can therefore expect a different Copenhagen from the one we have come to know, for a title that carries many expectations.
Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 (January 12, 2023)
Vikings Valhalla, compared to the mother series is a title afflicted by several problems, and despite the fascinating setting and entertaining clashes, the main story hadn’t completely convinced us. In fact, after a brilliant start, the second part of the season had proved to be too fluctuating, between interesting ideas and all too repetitive phases.
This second season of Vikings: Valhalla will therefore have to try to remedy the mistakes made in the past, and considering the material available, we are sure that the production will be able to take that extra step that will earn Valhalla for the protagonist warriors. Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson) and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) will return to contend for the scene, and given what happened in the previous season finale, we can expect new alliances, betrayals, and battles to the death.
Lockwood & Co. Season 1 (January 27, 2023)
In a world haunted by ghosts, some companies employ teenagers with extraordinary powers to fight the growing menace, but compared to other companies run by adults, Lockwood & Co. is in the hands of a young boy, the brilliant Anthony Lockwood (Cameron Chapman).
The latter, helped by George (Ali Hadji-Heshmati) and Lucy (Ruby Stokes), will try to change the fate of the planet, for a thriller set in a world as fascinating as full of pitfalls. Lockwood & Co. is written and directed by Joe Cornish and will take inspiration from the novels of Jonathan Stroud, for a story that promises to immerse us in a world completely different from the one we know.

Lady Voyeur
Conceived and written by Argentine Marcela Citterio and Débora Nascimento, Indiscreet Look is a new Brazilian series centered on Miranda (Débora Nascimento ), a skilled hacker who loves to spy on others from a safe distance, and the day she meets what seems to be the man of her life, only to find herself in a dark affair, which will trap her in a web from which it will be difficult to get out.
Woman of the Dead
Barbara Stepansky, Benito Mueller, and Wolfgang Mueller are the creators of this Austrian thriller, in which we follow a desperate woman ready to do anything to avenge her husband’s death. Silence reigns within the community in which she lives, while the truth seems distant and elusive.
Ginny & Georgia, Season 2 (January 5, 2023)
Ginny & Georgia, we said we were partially satisfied with the result achieved by the title since, despite the series’ ability to bring a very current mother-daughter relationship to the screen, the main story could not surprise in any respect, although he knew how to entertain. The task of this new season is therefore clear, and who knows if the protagonist duo will finally be able to find that extra starting point that was missing in the previous season.
Trolley
Kdrama was created by Kim Moon-gyo, Kwon Da-som and Rheu Bo-ri, starring the wife of a member of the National Assembly. She the latter, over time she had to hide many of her secrets, but now the woman will be forced to face everything she believed she had buried.
Sexify Season 2 (January 11, 2023)

Makanai Season 1 (January 12, 2023)
Adaptation of Aiko Koyama’s manga “Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san“, Makanai features Kiyo, a cook in a house of apprentice geisha. Hirokazu Kore-Eda is the showrunner, director and screenwriter of the title, for a series in which love, friendship, and passion for one’s work will be the key elements of an exciting story that will attempt to replicate the success of the paper counterpart, leading us to explore a lively and challenging Kyoto.
Sky Rojo, Season 3 (January 13, 2023)
The series by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, after the terrible clash that concluded the previous season, will see Coral (Verónica Sánchez), Wendy (Lali Espósito) and Gina (Yany Prado) intent on enjoying freedom for the first time, but the peace will not last long, and the three will face their past again.
