To announce it was Netflix itself which, through its social profiles, has revealed that chapter two of this beloved comedy series will be there. A Man on the Inside starring Ted Danson as a pensioner who finds a desire to live after his wife’s death by starting to work as a spy in a retirement home, she entered the heart of the public with her sweet, fun and profound story.
Released just over two weeks ago, in the series A Man on the Inside she succeeded in a remarkable feat: conquering the heart of criticism and also that of the spectators. Charles (Ted Danson) is a retired professor and believes that life has nothing more to offer him. A year after his wife’s death, he feels trapped by routine and increasingly distant from his daughter Emily (Mary Elizabeth Ellis). But an announcement published by private investigator Julie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada) inspires him to try his luck with a new adventure. Charles’s mission: to go undercover inside the Pacific View retirement home in San Francisco to solve the mystery of the theft of a family jewel. Residents and employees are all potential suspects and it’s up to Charles to solve the case without ending up in the sights of Didi (Stephanie Beatriz), the all-seeing and omniscient director of Pacific View. But not giving attention will be difficult since the affable Charles quickly enters the graces of other residents. Being “an infiltrator” pushes Charles to embark on an exciting journey and to believe that life still holds many surprises for him, while allowing him to re-establish relationships with Emily.

During the eighth and final episode of the first season, entitled “The Spy Who Came from the Cold”, we find out that Charles is now one step away from solving its great mystery. Charles has yet to reveal his true purpose at Pacific View, sparking a wave of unexpected events that only thanks to the support of Emily will be able to overcome better. Now we only look to the future.
