A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2: Netflix Confirms New Season
Fans of the saga can breathe a sigh of relief: in November 2024, Netflix officially renewed A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder for a second season. Fans of the franchise will already know that the series is based on a book trilogy much loved. The debut season is a faithful adaptation of the first volume, but there are still two other novels on Pip Fitz-Amobi series. Even the author of the novels, Holly Jackson, confirmed his direct involvement in writing the new season: “I’m so happy to be able to continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m also writing for the series”.
Talking to RadioTimes In July 2024, the writer revealed that she was very interested in seeing all three novels adapted: “I would love to make the whole series, the third book. I think it would be really great to do everything. And hopefully, if readers turn into viewers, we’ll have the numbers to do that. We love it and really hope so“.
The second season will be based on Good Girls, Bad Blood (in the original Good Girl, Bad Blood), the second novel of the original trilogy.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder: What Season One Was About
Five years ago, student Andie Bell was killed by her boyfriend, Sal Singh. Case closed. The police know it was him. Everyone in town knows it was him. But the intelligent and resolute Pip Fitz-Amobi isn’t so convinced and is determined to try it. And if Sal Singh isn’t a murderer and the real killer is still on the loose, how far will he go to prevent Pip from discovering the truth?
How Do A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder? How Did the First Chapter End?
The latest episode of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder reveals who the real killer of Andie is, the girl who disappeared 5 years before the events of the series. The girl was killed neither by her boyfriend, Sal, who had confessed to the murder and then committed suicide, nor by Elliot, Pip’s professor, who turned out to be Sal’s killer (who had neither killed Andie nor actually committed suicide).

In fact, it was her sister Becca who unexpectedly killed the girl. How? He pushed her the night she disappeared after an argument in which Andie revealed to her sister that she wanted to leave home. Becca had thus felt abandoned, and Anide had prevented her from reporting Max Hastings, who had drugged and then raped her because that same drug had been sold by Anide to the boy. So, in a fit of rage, Becca killed her sister and hid her body in a well in the woods. Once Pip found out everything, Becca first drugged her and then tried to throw her body into the same well, but the girl was saved by Sal’s brother and her friend. Eventually, Pip and Sal get together, and Pip threatens Max and announces that he wants to claim all the girls who were his rape victims.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2: The Plot
The season 2 plot of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will resume immediately after the events of the Andie Bell case. After discovering the truth, Pip Fitz-Amobi desperately tries to leave the world of investigations behind. The girl wants to return to a normal life and distance herself from the mysteries that have rocked Little Kilton. However, things quickly go downhill when Jamie Reynolds Connor’s brother, and a key witness in Max Hastings’ trial, suddenly disappears into thin air.
When the police seem to underestimate the case, Pip decides once again to investigate on her own. This new investigation will take the protagonist into much darker territory than in the past, prompting her to question her own sense of justice and the person she is becoming. The second season, therefore, promises even more mature tones, growing tension, and a Pip increasingly distant from the image of the “good girl”.
