A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 has been confirmed by Netflix. An excellent result for a crime series that had only half convinced us but that seems to have managed to find the right key to keep the audience glued to the screen. Thus, the streaming platform, a few months after the debut of the series, last August 2024, has decided to continue the story of this crime/thriller starring the star of Wednesday, Emma Myers. A renewal that was already in the air both because the end of the first season left room for a continuation of the story, and because this series is inspired by a series of novels, written by Holly Jackson. It will be the second book of the saga at the center of the story of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder: What Season 1 Was About
Five years ago, college student Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend Sal Singh. Case closed. The police knew he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it. But smart, determined Pip Fitz-Amobi isn’t so sure, and she’s determined to prove it. And if Sal Singh isn’t a murderer and the real killer is still on the loose, how far will she go to stop Pip from finding out the truth? The last episode of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder reveals who the real murderer of Andie is, the girl who disappeared 5 years before the events of the series. The girl was not killed by her boyfriend Sal, who confessed to the murder and then committed suicide, nor by Elliot, Pip’s professor who was discovered to have been Sal’s murderer (who had not killed Andie nor committed suicide in reality).
It was her sister Becca who unexpectedly killed the girl. How? By pushing her the night she disappeared after an argument in which Andie had revealed to her sister that she wanted to leave home. Becca had felt abandoned, and Anide had also prevented her from reporting Max Hastings who had drugged and then raped her because that same drug had been sold by Andie to the boy. So, in a fit of rage, Becca killed her sister and hid her body in a well in the woods. Once Pip found out everything, Becca first drugged her and then tried to throw her body in the same well, but the girl was saved by Sal’s brother and his friend. Eventually, Pip and Sal get together and Pip threatens Max and announces that he wants to claim all the girls who were his rape victims.
‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2’: What We Know
For those who have seen the series and are waiting for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2, you will know that Andie’s case, thanks to Pip’s investigations, is now closed. Pippa (who will return with the face of Emma Myers, supported by Zain Iqbal in the role of Sal’s brother, Ravi) is tired of various investigations, murders, evidence, and witnesses. She would like to leave it all behind and continue with her life as usual. However the author of the first book, Holly Jackson, did not have the same idea when she wrote the second volume. The mystery seems to haunt her when the key witness in a trial suddenly disappears, and she must hurry to find him before it’s too late.
