During Netflix Geeked Week 2022, much-anticipated content arrived, and also the first short teaser of the Wednesday series starring Jenna Ortega is out now. Netflix showed the first images of the original series written and directed by director Tim Burton (Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Dumbo). The subject could not be more Burtonian than this: it is a spin-off series of the Addams family, entirely dedicated to little Wednesday! The series will be titled Wednesday.

Netflix Geeked Week 2002 opened with a small clip dedicated to Wednesday. In the video we see Wednesday getting ready wearing her famous outfit: she knots her braids, adjusts her immaculate white-collar, showing off a black dress with white dots. The girl looks into the room. On the shoulder of the protagonist rises Mano, another member of the Addams family. To play the protagonist is Jenna Ortega, who we have already seen in Scream.

Together, Hand and Wednesday snap their fingers in time, a classic gesture of any self-respecting Addams. The series was described by Netflix Geeked Week 2002 hosts as “obviously gothic” with a little bit of mystery. It seems that the young Wednesday will find herself investigating an unspecified case.
