Chief of War: Jason Momoa Will Be Writer And Actor For Apple Tv+ Series
Jason Momoa will be committed to telling a piece of Hawaiian history in a limited series created by himself.
Jason Momoa was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 1, 1979 but as a boy he had to move to the state of Iowa. Judging by the plot of Chief of War, the actor has certainly not forgotten his roots. In fact, the Apple TV+ TV series will tell about the unification and colonization of Hawaii from an indigenous point of view.
Chief of War will consist of 8 episodes and these will be written, produced and starred by Jason Momoa. Alongside the Aquaman actor- in the role of creator – is the name of Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, who previously collaborated with Momoa in the role of screenwriter in the 2018 film entitled Braven.
Chief of War Star Cast and Release Date
The other producers are Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Erik Holmberg and Doug Jung. The latter also acts as a showrunner. As for the directing, the site Deadline has mentioned the name of Justin Chon but still nothing is certain, not even on the front of the rest of the cast. Chief of War will be Jason Momoa’s second collaboration with the Apple TV+ streaming service, in fact the actor is the protagonist of the science fiction series See, in which he plays Baba Voss or the father of twins born with the ability to see in a world where everyone has lost their sight.
Chief of War will thus star Jason Momoa. Additionally, Justin Chon is in talks to direct the first two episodes. Endeavor Content and Chernin Entertainment will produce the project. Chief of War is the second Apple series to be led by Momoa. Currently the artist is the protagonist of See, the series focused on a post-apocalyptic future in which almost all the remaining humans have lost their sense of sight. The second season of the series premiered in 2021 and Seehas already been renewed for a third season.
In See 2, the actor again plays Baba Voss as he fights to reunite his family and escape the war and politics that surround him. Jason Momoa, of Hawaiian descent, will write a screenplay for television for the first time thanks to Chied of War. He previously co-wrote, directed and starred in the film Road to Paloma, which was released in 2014. Additionally, Momoa starred in the film Braven in 2018, co-written with Pa’a Sibbett.
Jason Momoa’s Projects
Chief of War is the first television project written by Momoa. The Hawaiian actor will soon hit the screens with two films, Netlix’s Slumberland and The Last Manhunt, which he wrote himself with Thomas Pa’a Sibbett. In addition to this Jason Momoa will be the protagonist with the sequel to Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom (whose filming has already finished in December 2021). Finally, it is expected in the tenth chapter of the Fast & Furious saga in 2023.
