Love Hostel Movie Review: Bobby Deol, Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra’s film Love Hostel released on the OTT platform on Friday. The film released on Zee5 is based on the issue of Honor Killing. However, many films have already been released on this topic. Neither romance nor love was seen in the film. The film is full of abuses. At the same time, Bobby’s completely different look was seen in this. In the entire film, instead of his acting, his make-up dominated him. Thrill was nowhere to be seen in this crime thriller film by director Shankar Raman. The film is made on Haryanvi background. However, in the name of making the film, the makers have only made a false statement.

But the girl’s grandmother is unable to bear this humiliation and then puts a special person behind her. There is nothing to do, just put to death as soon as you see it. The name of this villain is Dagar (Bobby Deol). Its background is only that he considers himself a social worker who is punishing those people who break the rules of the society and marry people of other religions. So just the whole film revolves between these three characters. In between, the policemen also register their presence, but the main work is of these three.

Love Hostel Movie Review And Analysis

Well, there is no need to talk much about the acting of the starcast working in the film. All are great stars. Gets easily into every role. Vikrant Massey and Sanya Malhotra have done their job brilliantly. Regarding Bobby Deol, it can definitely be said that the makers have glorified his villain character more. During the trailer and promotion too much buzz was created about his character. Her make-up was very good in the film but here the makeup dominated her acting. This 90-minute film needs a lot of editing but due to the short duration, this scope was not possible.

Apart from the characters in the film, its theme is special, the issue of honor killing has been raised in the film. There are many small such scenes in the film, which show the mirror of the society. Like having a gun at a Muslim butcher’s house and the story behind it. Apart from this, how a father wants the happiness of his daughter, but due to the conservative family thinking and fear of the society, is unable to gather the courage to do so late. At the same time, you will also be able to connect the connection of police and crime with the society somewhere. While the theme of the film seems to be a sensitive and important issue, on the other hand, its story proves to be weak. The story gets loose not once but several times, and small loop holes are visible where the story could have been tightened.

Love Hostel Film

The film is based on the Haryanvi belt, so its characters also seem to speak Hindi and Haryanvi. While Bobby Deol’s look is quite spectacular, on the other hand, his low speaking style and right grip on Haryanvi makes his character special. Bobby has worked hard on his character, which is clearly visible in the character, from the expression of his eyes to his speech movements. At the same time, Vikrant Massey has also appeared in his character, although Sanya Malhotra has proved to be a bit lackluster in comparison to these two. The film is directed by Shankar Raman, which doesn’t look anything very special and out of place. There doesn’t seem to be anything very different in the film, which can be praised a lot.

But where the film falls short is the writing and direction. Many Hindi films have been made on the subject like honor killing, which have caught the issue firmly. ‘Love Hoster’ does not move beyond those films. It touches on the issue of inter-caste and inter-religious marriage as well as homosexual relations. But what can affect? No. In the first half, the film is moving at a good pace, the characters and the brutality keep you hooked, there is a tension in the story. But slowly the film starts losing its grip on the emotions. The way Bobby Deol’s character is seen beating people here and there, it has looked ridiculous on some occasions. Editing by Nitin Baid and cinematography by Vivek Shah make the film a little better.

Love Hostel Movie Review: The Last Words

Well overall the film’s subject is not new but the performances of the actors is great. Love Hostel is not a remarkable film but you should have to give a change to the film. The badass character of Bobby Deol is great and if you are lover of crime drama films this film defiantly for you. Also the film is not too long and the pace of the film is very fast you will never feel bore.
