The Wheel of Time is available on Amazon Prime Video! The series is based on a fantasy novel written by Robert Jordan. Episode 8 of The Wheel of Time opens with a flashback to 3000 years ago. We see a sort of argument, in the old language, between two individuals. There is a disagreement between Latra Posae Decume and Lews Therin Telamon Lews sets out his reasoning.

Who Are The Seanchans

He says they have a real chance to do something that has never been done before, which is to cage the Dark One. But Latra appears to be an austere woman who made her decision, and no matter how much Lews persuaded her, she remains stubborn in her resolution. Then, we find our heroes for “The First War” and the first meeting of Rand & the Dark.

Who Is The Crew That Causes A Tidal Wave With Magic?

Once the frenzied battles are over, we are taken to a distant, unnamed coast where a lonely young girl walks the beach. She soon notices a crowd of eerie-looking ships on the horizon carrying a group of magicians. The channelers of each of the many ships attack in unison, and the end of Season 1 of The Wheel Of Time shows the massive tidal wave they create as they swoop down on the beach. Since the sails of the ships do not bear a specific emblem, we can only guess at the loyalty of the attackers.

Who Are The Seanchans?

Located on the mainland to the west, the rulers of the empire have long planned an invasion of the Westlands to reclaim what they see as their due. Indeed, the ancestors of the rulers were apparently from the Westlands. The invasion we see at the end of Season 1, according to the books, has been in the works for at least twenty years. During this time, the Seanchans built ships to transport them to the Westlands and gathered troops and magic channelers to aid them in their effort. Their mission to reclaim the Westlands is called the “Return”.

According to the second book in the Wheel of Time series and the source book that season 2 of the series will draw heavily on, the Children of the Light face the invasion of the Seanchan and try to keep them in check. However, some of the central characters, including Nynaeve and Egwene, are caught in the crossfire between the Children of the Light and the Seanchan. Thus, the magic channeling sailors seen at the end of Season 1 form a new angle in the storytelling and introduce viewers to an as yet unknown part of the world of The Wheel of Time.
