Gomorrah 5 Ending: What Happens To Donna Luciana?

In previous episodes, Donna Luciana had a bad time. After trying to persuade Azzurra to betray Gennaro to guarantee her and her husband ‘O Maestrale a place alongside Ciro, Luciana was sentenced to death by Genny. ‘O Maestrale pretended to have obeyed Don Savastano’s order but could not kill the love of his life. This is how Luciana lived hidden in a country cottage, occasionally visited by her husband who intends to keep her safe until Genny’s war is over.

When it becomes clear that the Savastano era is coming to an end, Donna Luciana suggests to her husband to beware of the tactics of ‘O Munaciello, who could betray him at any moment. Munaciello is the only one who knows that she is alive, having followed ‘O Mistral together with her brother. Once Ciro is brought to ‘O Munaciello, the Immortal will freeze with a blow to the head’ O Maestrale.

The same unhappy fate is reserved for Luciana. Ciro’s men find her in the house where she found shelter, but Luciana senses their presence and runs away, venturing along the paths of the countryside in the middle of the night. His attempt to escape a fate already marked proves futile. Donna Luciana dies under the gunshot of a killer loyal to Ciro. With Luciana his ambition for a life without masters also dies, but in Gomorrah ambitions are more lethal than weapons.
