Foundation Episode 8: Ending Explained Where is the Invictus Taking Salvor and Phara?

Foundation is available on Apple TV+! If you want to know the explanation of the end of episode 8 read on! Once again, I’m flabbergasted that this series isn’t being talked about more intensely. She deserves to be talked about more. I guess the release of Dune didn’t help, but it’s clear that it’s a sci-fi series that can last for multiple episodes.

Foundation Episode 8 Ending Explained

Eventually, Gaal forces Hari to let her off the ship by threatening to kill herself. She enters the cryogenic capsule that brought her onto the Raven and directs her to another destination. Towards the end of Foundation Episode 8, Gaal is once again immersed in an artificial sleep as the capsule transports her into space. We are then brought back to the Invictus, where Phara breaks into the ship’s deck and kills Lewis. During the ensuing brawl between Anacreon and Salvor, the ship they are in begins to leap into space, causing them both to fall backwards and make them dizzy.

Foundation Episode 8

The fact that the Invictus jumped out with Salvor still trapped inside and with no one controlling the ship means there is no way of knowing where the ship is going to take them and Phara. It is precisely for this reason that the ship has been a ghost ship for hundreds of years, as it has jumped seemingly randomly throughout this time, possibly even to regions outside the galaxy. Thus, Salvor and Phara will find themselves in a still unknown part of space.

Their only hope for survival lies in the fact that the Headmistress of Terminus herself possesses mysterious powers. Just as Salvor can predict the evolution of coins almost perfectly, she believes she can use those same powers to bring the Invictus back to Terminus. Therefore, the current destination of the former warship remains unknown, but Salvor will likely attempt to bring it back to Terminus at the earliest opportunity.
