The youngest of the Roys clearly has a lot of trauma and emotional damage that he’s dealing with, and that makes him unpredictable. Roman is a pressure cooker that can explode at any time, especially since, as part of his alliance / relationship with Gerri, he has enough weapons to crush his brothers on their way to the ‘throne’ (aka the CEO job of the company).

She should be the “nice” of the Roys, but she really is not, Shiv is as unpleasant as her brothers, a kind of Lady Macbeth who wants to put herself on the throne at all costs. Shiv Roy is very capable, bright, intelligent and knows when to play and when to fold, and he doesn’t mind sacrificing others to get what he wants. Maybe he has not been as terrible as his brothers, but that is because he was not part of the company, and all that began to change when he agreed to go talk to a victim in the scandal that now has them all on the ropes.
She believes that she deserves everything and is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she thinks belongs to her, and that makes her as dangerous as the rest of her siblings. Kendall is a special case, we feel bad for him and for everything that he has gone through working for his dad (drugs, divorce, an accidental murder, public put-downs), but after seeing everything he has done and how little he cares his brothers, it is clear that he does not deserve our pity.
He is a character we love to hate (and he has a bit of an Oedipus complex or something like that), he is Machiavellian, controlling and manipulative, in addition to being completely disconnected from reality, convinced that he is the cool and the good of the family, when in reality it is the opposite.
