Netflix confirmed that Bad Bunny, Luis Gerardo Méndez and Alberto Guerra join the cast of Narcos: México along with Scoot McNairy (Walt Breslin), José María Yazpik (Amado Carrillo), Alberto Ammann (Pacho Herrera), or Alfonso Dosal (Benjamin) Arellano Félix), who will return for the third part.
- Luis Gerardo Méndezas Víctor Tapia – A Juárez police officer with a moral dilemma, who despite his doubts about getting involved or not, is caught up in the mystery of a series of brutal murders.
- Alberto Guerraas Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada – An independent drug lord whose modesty hides the fact that he is quietly one step ahead of the rest. Zambada leads an austere and simple lifestyle, allowing him to evade justice and build a powerful empire right in front of his enemies.
- Luisa Rubinoas Andrea Nuñez – An idealistic and ambitious young journalist whose mission to expose corruption gives her an even bigger story than she bargained for.
