Squid Game was Netflix’s big surprise, it is a Korean series that came to streaming without much publicity or noise, but was shared by word of mouth, generating curiosity around the world. The brutal Korean series began with a desperate man (divorced, poor, and heavily in debt) who, after being attacked by debt collectors, is invited to play a child’s game with the promise that he can earn a lot of money. Seong Gi-hun loses several times but ends up winning a large amount of money and the man who invited him tells him that if he wants more, he should call a number on a card and agree to continue playing more games, that piques his curiosity.

Squid Game Review

Gi-hun calls the number, a van comes to pick him up and wakes up in a strange place with 400 other people who made the same call. It all seems very innocent, but, when the first game (a lethal version of a children’s classic) ends up killing almost half of the players, he and the group realize that losing means they will not get out of there alive.

But all the players are desperate and in need of money, so they decide to get back in the game and keep fighting for survival. Things get more and more macabre and bloody, we discover that the dead players are part of an extra business of the guards and that there is a policeman looking for his brother, and that winning means that the seller is going to have a lot of blood on his hands in addition to the possibility of continuing in the future.

Will The Squid Game Have Season 2?

Netflix hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but the series became one of the most watched in the world, and the ending left some loose ends, plus the possibility of the Squid Game continuing with other players.

The End Of The Series:

At the end of the first season, we found out that the games have been going on for years (there have been multiple winners and there are files of all the losers), plus the mysterious leader with the black mask was a winner in his own edition of the games. The leader turns out to be Detective Hwang Jun-ho’s missing brother but he was not the one who created the first Squid Game.

In a very unexpected twist, we found out that the games were created by Oh Il-nam (aka, the old man and gamer number 0001), who planned them with several of his wealthy friends who didn’t know what to do with their huge fortunes, so they decided resort to sadism.

In the final episode, Seong Gi-hun (0456) discovers the true origin of the games and receives a card for the edition that will take place the following year, so he decides to take the opportunity to face the creators of the game.

What Will The Second Season Be About?

Really everything is possible, there is the possibility of making a jump to the past to see the first games and how 001 and her friends decided to create them, choosing children’s games and even the origin of the terrifying robot girl who killed them all in the game. by Green Light, Red Light. It would also be interesting to see the process of selecting and training the guards who make sure to maintain “order”.

But it could also start right after the events of the first one, where 456 and its allies could be looking to the organization responsible for the games to try to destroy it and stop the slaughter of people. Detective Hwang may still be alive, so he could be one of 456’s allies.
