Stranger Things Season 5: What Happens in the first five minutes of Stranger Things 5?
The scene opens with Will, huddled in the Upside Down, taking courage by humming Should I Stay or Should I Go by the Clash, as he trembles from the cold and fear. Suddenly, a Demogorgon bursts onto the scene, trying to capture him. The boy runs away by climbing a very tall tree and then jumping into another tree, but the branches break and he falls to the ground. He is then dragged to a shelter where he is face-to-face with Vecna.
“Finally. We can start”, Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower, tells him. “You and I are going to do wonderful things together, William. Wonderful things.” Meanwhile, a tentacle sticks to Will’s face and injects a substance into his body.
What Awaits Us in the Last Season?
Show co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer told Entertainment Weekly last week that the final episodes of Stranger Things will satisfy even the most demanding fans.
Ross Duffer anticipated that viewers would “they will start to find out more about what happened and what is the connection between all this and Vecna.” Matt Duffer added that the final episodes will feature answers to fan questions.
“Much of the season was built around the idea of coming full circle, answering many of the questions posed in the first season. I think the two most important questions we didn’t answer in season one and will answer in these new episodes are, ‘What really is Upside Down?’ it’s ‘Why will kidnap?'”
Matt concluded: “Given that the story began with Will and his disappearance, we thought that, to close the circle, it had to end with him. Over the last couple of seasons, we’ve kind of overlooked Will, so there’s a lot to explore with him from both a character and a plot perspective.”
