Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 2-9 Ending Explained: Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 2 continues to unravel the mysteries of the survivors’ past and present. While girls in the past continue to face winter brutality and the effects of the “Dark”, secrets are still haunting Shauna, Misty, and the rest of the group today. On the one hand, Mari is still missing, creating tension within the group, and Ben shows that she is still alive. In the present, Lottie appears at Shauna’s door after escaping from the psychiatric hospital, Misty faces her despair, and Callie tries to get the truth out of her mother about what happened in the woods. All this while a mysterious phone and recording threaten to reveal the truth about what happened in the past.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 2 Ending Explained: What Does the Recording Mean?

The episode closes with a haunting revelation: Shauna receives a call at the restaurant to pick up a mystery phone. As she picks it up, the series shows us a flashback in which Jeeves, one of the girls in the group, confronts her in the woods over what happened to Mari. The tension between the two overflows, and, surprisingly, they end up kissing. This could mean that Jeeves survived and is now sending the tape to expose Shauna and the others. However, there is also a possibility that Coach Ben is the one who sent the recording, which would add another layer of danger to the group.

What About Mari and Ben in the Woods?

Ben, who is still alive and hidden, uses Mari as a hostage, tying her so that she does not alert the rest. Although he fears that if they find him, they will make him the next meal, Mari believes that Ben is the one who really wants to hurt him. Nat suspects Ben is still alive but tries to divert Misty from finding out. However, Misty soon realizes that something is wrong and tells Shauna, which could endanger Ben in the next episodes.

Is Akilah Destined to be the Chosen One?

Meanwhile, Lottie remains convinced that “Darkness” has a plan and uses Travis as a channel to communicate with her through fungal-induced hallucinations. Travis has a terrifying experience and ends up trying to strangle Lottie, showing how scared he has begun to control him. Finally, Travis assures that the Darkness has already chosen another person: Akilah, since the animals seem to trust her. However, this could simply be a way for Travis to divert attention or a sign that something else is about to happen to Akilah.

Why is Lottie Seeking Refuge with Shauna in the Present?

Lottie escapes from the psychiatric hospital and appears at Shauna’s house, asking for refuge. Although she was responsible for almost killing her in the previous episode, Callie convinces her mother to let her stay. However, Shauna and Jeff have an important dinner, forcing Misty to keep an eye on Lottie. What no one expected is for Callie to take the opportunity to host a “slumber party” with the two of them, including alcohol and a real or challenging game to try to extract information about what happened in the woods.

Van’s Guilt and Tai’s Threat

Van, feeling guilty for running away from the restaurant without paying in the previous episode, decides to return. However, instead of encountering a simple debt problem, he discovers that the waiter who chased them died of a heart attack. Terrified, Tai believes that the “Darkness ” was responsible for their death, as the man had chased them. This discovery could be key in his relationship with Van and in his perception of the entity that continues to haunt them.

Jeff and Shauna’s dinner: Who Left the Phone in the Bathroom?

As Jeff tries to close a deal at a business dinner, Shauna is distracted, worried about what’s going on at home. When he goes to the bathroom, he hears a few quiet steps and finds a phone intentionally left in the next cabin. Although she does not answer the call, she knows that someone wants to communicate with her and probably put her in danger. This, added to the flashbacks with Jeeves and the mysterious recording, makes it clear that the past is coming back to haunt her and that in the next few episodes, we could see how this threat becomes increasingly tangible.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 3

The third season of Yellowjackets continues to enter darker terrain, mixing the supernatural with the psychology of survival. In this second episode, the tension in the forest increases when Ben, increasingly isolated, holds Mari in his cave while the other girls begin to suspect his whereabouts. On the other hand, in the present, Lottie strengthens ties with Callie, while Shauna deals with the chaos in her life, and Tai continues to see signs that the “Darkness” never completely left. This episode raises key questions: What is really going on with “Darkness”? Is it real or just a manifestation of collective madness? And most importantly, how long can Ben keep running away from the girls before they deliver him to his destination?

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 3 Ending Explained: What about Ben and Mari?

Ben, increasingly deteriorated, has been surviving on bats in his cave. In an attempt to convince him to release her, Mari confesses that she is in love with him and wants to sleep with him. However, Ben brutally rejects her, making it clear that she is gay and that she would rather die extremely violently than sleep with her. His answer leaves Mari puzzled, but her real goal is something else: to steal her pepper spray. Her plan fails, and she ends up blinding herself in the process. As Ben begins to hear strange noises in the cave, he confesses that he no longer finds a reason to stay alive. Mari, in an attempt to convince her to let her go, tells her about her cousin who died of cancer and theorizes that there are two versions of reality: one normal and one dark, hidden. In an unexpected turn, Ben decides to free her.

However, his decision will not change anything because when Mari returns with the group, she does not hesitate to reveal that Ben is still alive. The girls, instead of rejoicing, see him as a threat and decide that he should be sacrificed. When a group of them goes out looking for Ben, they accidentally inhale a toxic gas that makes them hallucinate. His visions include Jackie and other disturbing elements that seem to confirm that they all share a connection to “Darkness”. Finally, Ben finds Van unconscious and, despite everything, tries to help her. However, Natalie tells him, “Sorry, Coach”, making it clear that his fate is sealed: he will be delivered to “Darkness” and most likely end up as meat at the next banquet of the group.

What Happens on the Timeline of the Present?

Today, the series continues to show how “Darkness” is still present in the lives of survivors. Lottie approaches Callie, Shauna’s daughter, and even convinces her to shoplift, showing how she continues to manipulate those around her. Meanwhile, Misty tried to approach Shauna with the excuse of helping her buy a gift, but Shauna didn’t want to know anything about her. On the other hand, Van receives surprising news: his cancer has stopped spreading, something that doctors describe as miraculous. But when Tai shows him images of the corpse of the murdered waiter, it is clear that the “Darkness” continues to influence their lives. Tai later sees an ice cream ad reminding him of the figure of the “Man without eyes”, suggesting that his connection to the “Darkness” could have formed since childhood.

Shauna, meanwhile, gets mad at Misty after an accident with the car and accuses her of sabotaging the brakes, although Misty defends herself and feels betrayed. Back home, Shauna finds Lottie and Callie preparing dinner, but seeing that her daughter is wearing Jackie’s necklace, she explodes in fury. Lottie tries to explain to her that the necklace does not mean what she believes, implying that it is not a symbol of death but something deeper, possibly related to a sacrifice or a “divine choice”. Will Callie be the next “chosen” in this twisted cycle?

What Does this Episode Leave Us?

  • Ben’s fate is sealed: The girls are convinced that they must sacrifice him, and knowing his record, it is only a matter of time before he is killed.
  • The “Darkness” continues to work: Girls’ shared hallucinations and the influence it continues to have today reinforce the theory that it is not just collective hysteria.
  • Callie could be key in the future: Her connection to Lottie and the necklace scene suggest that her role in the story might be more important than we thought.
  • Tai and Van begin to remember too much: Their research on the “Man without eyes” and past events hint that they are approaching answers that could change everything.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 4

Episode 4 of the third season of Yellowjackets drops the intensity a bit compared to previous chapters, but it still drops narrative bombs that leave us with our mouths open. The plot revolves around the Coach Ben trial, where the girls must decide if it was really he who caused the cabin fire. Also, in the present, the episode gives us moments of sheer tension, such as the shocking scene in which Misty stabs Shauna. But is it real or just a hallucination? Meanwhile, Van and Tai seem to have found some stability, although the end of the chapter changes everything.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 4 Ending Explained: What About Coach Ben?

Ben’s judgment is the great event of the chapter. While some girls believe he is innocent, others see him as the ideal culprit to channel his anger and despair. Misty, with his manipulative ability as always, defended him, making it clear that if he had wanted to harm them, he would have done so already. However, Shauna manages to turn the situation around with a speech loaded with collective hysteria, getting the majority to declare the Coach guilty. Ben’s fate is in the air, but the final conversation between Travis and Lottie hints that his ritual execution is only a matter of time. Will he be hunted? Or will the girls give you one last chance? Everything indicates that Ben’s “sacrifice” is written at the fate of the group.

Why is Misty Stabbing Shauna? Is it Real?

In one of the episode’s most shocking scenes, Misty seems to stick a knife into Shauna. But before panicking, it turns out it’s just a fantasy of Misty, who imagines taking revenge for everything Shauna has put her through. However, this hallucination shows us that the tension between them continues to rise and that Misty is more resentful than she seems.

Danger Stalks SHAUNA

Shauna is still in the eye of the hurricane. First, he discovers that his car’s brakes were not sabotaged; they simply failed, but he finds it hard to believe it. Later, she is caught in a freezer while volunteering at the nursing home where Misty works. The scene has a brutal symbolic charge as Shauna hallucinates Jackie, who reminds her that her life has not improved since her death. Just when it looks like Shauna could get caught forever, Randy rescues her. But the disturbing thing is that someone with very personal information about the Yellowjackets is playing with them… and it seems that this has only just begun.

The Mysterious Message About Lottie

The end of the episode leaves us with a chilling revelation: Misty receives a message from Walter saying he regrets Lottie. At the same time, in the application of citizen detectives, Misty finds a post on a corpse surrounded by candles, and when he opens the photo, he discovers that it is Lottie. This changes everything. Was it Tai? We know that you believe in “Darkness” and that making sacrifices can save Van. Could he have killed Lottie to keep his ex-alive? Also, just before his death, Lottie had made strange moves to his bank account and rehearsed an apology, ruling out that it was suicide. Someone killed her … and the list of suspects is increasingly disturbing.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 5

Episode 5 of the third season of Yellowjackets continues to intensify the tension on both timelines, showing how insanity and paranoia increasingly take over the group. In the past, the team remains divided on what to do with Ben, while in the present, Lottie’s death shakes survivors and rekindles old grudges. The big question is still in the air: Is there really a supernatural force in the forest, or is the collective madness just getting out of control? With each chapter, it seems clearer that the “power of nature” could be nothing more than a metaphor for fear, despair, and human brutality.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 5 Ending Explained: Who Survives and Who Dies?

In this episode, Ben’s life is in danger. The group decides that it must die, but the question is, who will be in charge of executing it? In the end, it is Tai who has to but does not feel capable. Van suggests that his “other version” (his alter ego) does, but when they try to force his appearance with emotional stimuli, it doesn’t work. Meanwhile, Misty, despite everything, seems to be the only one who has a little compassion for Ben, although she can’t do anything to save him either. In an unexpected turn, Akilah has a vision that changes Ben’s destiny: in her mind, she sees it as a bridge that takes her to a distant city. Thanks to this, Lottie and Travis convince the group that “the forest” wants Ben to live, preventing Tai from killing him. However, the episode closes with a haunting twist: Shauna and Melissa, who are still convinced that Ben must die, go as far as to follow him. Shauna hands Melissa a knife, and she cuts off her ankle tendon, leaving him unable to run away. They then return to camp with a challenging and proud attitude, making it clear that brutality and violence within the group reaches a point of no return.

What Does Akilah’s Vision Mean?

Akilah’s vision is key in this episode because it changes the course of the story. In his dream, he sees Ben as a bridge to a city, which seems to symbolize an opportunity to escape. Her vision reinforces the belief in “the power of the forest”, which makes Lottie and Travis support her. But there is another darker reading: what if the vision was not a message of salvation, but a premonition that Ben will be the one to help them out of the forest … only to be sacrificed later?

What About Misty and Walter in the Present?

Misty is currently investigating Lottie’s death and gathering the other survivors to share information. However, instead of seeking justice, they all seem more concerned with finding someone to blame. This scene makes it clear that, despite having come out of the forest, paranoia and violence are still very present in them. On the other hand, Walter reappears and offers his help to Shauna, although his true intentions are not entirely clear. He wants to solve the mystery of Lottie’s death, but he also seems to have a hidden interest in approaching Misty again. When she rejects him, he takes it easy, but with Walter, you never know.

Why Does Shauna Visit Lottie’s House?

Shauna ends up at the home of Lottie’s father, an old man with signs of dementia who mistakes her for her daughter. In this scene, Shauna seems to be saying goodbye to Lottie in a symbolic way, as if she were assuming her death and, at the same time, acknowledging that no one really understood Lottie in life. It is a strange but emotional moment, and also a reminder that, despite all its harshness and brutality, Shauna continues to have moments of humanity.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 6

Episode 6 of the third season of Yellowjackets brings us to a breaking point in the history of girls stranded in the woods and on the timeline of the present. In the past, Ben’s condition worsens to an inevitable outcome, while in the present, Shauna finally listens to Callie’s hidden tape and faces a disturbing revelation. Furthermore, Misty continues to investigate Lottie’s death, while Van and Tai are embroiled in a strange situation that could connect the past with the present. The episode unfolds slowly but intensely, with moments of introspection, difficult decisions, and a big unknown about what will happen to the group in the woods. Will they spend another winter trapped? Who is the person who appears at the end of the episode? Let’s break it all down.

Yellowjackets 3 Episode 6 Ending Explained: Does Ben Die?

After losing a leg and being completely psychologically devastated, Ben simply gives up. He does not want to eat, he does not want to live, and, to top it off, he dedicates himself to accumulating meat until it rots, perhaps as a way to sabotage the group or simply express his despair. Nat tries to help him, but he begs her to kill him. In an attempt to provoke her, he tells her that it was he who started the fire that almost killed them all, although Nat knows that it is not true. Tired and with no other options, Nat grants him his wish and stabs him in the heart, giving him a quick death. His decision has immediate consequences: the rest of the girls are outraged, and Shauna, who ironically wanted Ben to die, becomes the group’s new leader. His first term: Nat must prepare Ben’s body for the ritual “”. In other words, they are going to eat it. Misty said goodbye to Ben in a strangely tender way, covering him before they made him the next meal. The episode makes it clear that Nat is getting further and further away from the group and that the power dynamics have completely changed.

What Does Akilah’s Vision Mean?

Throughout the episode, Akilah returns to the cave, hoping to find answers to his visions. In one of them, a bear appears, growling, leaving many questions in the air. Is it a premonition of what is to come? Is it connected to the mysterious figure that appears at the end of the episode? We don’t know for sure, but the bear’s presence could symbolize imminent danger … or something more mystical related to the “power of the forest”.

What Does the tape Shauna Listens to Contain?

In the timeline of the present, Shauna finally accesses the tape that Callie has been hiding. After learning of Lottie’s death and realizing that someone is trying to kill her, Shauna panics. Callie confesses that she had not listened to the tape because she did not know how to play it, so now is the time to find out what it contains. Shauna meets Van and Tai in the car, and together, they listen to the recording. The first thing you hear is a voice doing sound tests, followed by screaming from several women, including one screaming “No!”. It appears to be a record of one of the rituals that occurred in the forest, something that only they supposedly knew about. But if all the people who knew about this are dead, who sent the tape? The big question is: Will it be a message from someone who survived and never revealed? Or is it a warning that someone else knows the truth? The episode leaves this unknown open, adding even more tension to the season.

Who Appears in the Camp at the End of the Episode?

The episode closes with a shocking scene: while the girls are in the middle of the farewell ritual for Ben, Lottie starts yelling at the forest as if she feels something strange in the air. And suddenly, in the dark, a man dressed in a vest appears, greeting them with a simple “hello”. The girls are paralyzed when they see someone outside the group, but what disturbs them is their reaction to seeing Ben’s body: he curses out loud, realizing what they have done. This raises a series of questions: Who is he? Are you a rescuer? Or do you belong to a group that lives in the forest? How will girls react when discovered in the middle of the “ceremony”? This scene opens the door to many theories. Will this character be the link between the present and the events of the past? Could it be a brother or relative of any of the girls? And what will happen now that someone has witnessed what they have done to survive?

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 7

The seventh episode of the third season of Yellowjackets marks a before and after. After several chapters where the tension was simmering, this episode launches everything through the air. We traveled three days into the past to understand the context of the horror: how the couple of biologists came to the camp, how Edwin died, and what unleashed a chain of decisions that would end up tearing the survivors from within.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 7 Ending Explained: An Unexpected Encounter in the Thicket

The first to stumble upon the Yellowjackets are Hannah and Edwin, two scientists investigating a rare species of frog. They are accompanied by Kodi, a mountain guide more pragmatic than his colleagues. A night of joints and technological clumsiness leaves them incommunicado. Then they hear screams: for Edwin, a mystery to investigate. For Kodi, it was a warning sign. Edwin, driven by curiosity, takes the worst path.

The Night That Marked Lottie Forever

Edwin finds the camp and runs into the head of Ben on a table. Scream. And that scream sentences him. Lottie, consumed by her vision of the “sacred forest”, murders him with a makeshift ax. The scene is as brutal as it is revealing: Lottie no longer distinguishes the symbolic from the real. In the morning, we find her soaked in blood. Have you done a ritual with the body? Have you lost all contact with reality?

Chaos Spreads: Arrows, Betrayals, and Lethal Decisions

Amid the mess, Kodi shoots an arrow through Melissa’s chest. Shauna acts coldly and orders the staff to help her or face the consequences. His gaze is enough to understand that whoever does not cooperate may not see another sunrise. We know that Gen and Melissa are not in the present… is this the first sign of her final destination?

The Truth Behind The Tape

The famous DAT tape was recorded by Hannah in the middle of the disaster. He hides it under a log, along with a message for his daughter. Everything indicates that Alex is the enigmatic figure that connects the past with the present. Hannah, perhaps more cunning than the rest, decides to turn herself in and offer help in exchange for survival.

Human Hunting: Kodi and the Edge of the Abyss

Travis, Misty, and Akilah try to catch Kodi. Misty loses her glasses in full chase while an arrow brushes her face. Finally, Kodi falls off a cliff, but Travis rescues him using a rifle as a rope. It is a strange moment: humanity during barbarism. Meanwhile, Hannah is taken to camp. Mari and Gen, meanwhile, definitely break up with Lottie. The group no longer supports itself.

Callie Suspects: The Present is Tinged with Shadows

In the present, Shauna listens to the tape and decides to find Alex. He lies to Jeff, but his daughter Callie, you’ve heard enough. He begins to connect the dots and suspects that his mother is not who he says he is. Is this the seed of a future confrontation?

Van, Caught Between the Past and Physical Collapse?

While Misty pretends to be a police officer to question Tai and Van, they confess half-truths. Tai denies killing Lottie. But soon, another bomb explodes: DNA analysis links Shauna to the crime scene. Misty tells Tai and Van by message, but Shauna intuits it. Just then, Van collapses, spitting blood. In the hospital, she dreams of her teenage version burning her bed in the woods while Tai, with black lips, watches her from the dark. An omen? Or the certainty that they never escaped trauma?

Is Shauna a Murderer?

Everything indicates it. Misty confronted her and said bluntly, “I know.” The tension between the two is unbearable. Callie also begins to suspect that her mother has killed … and she might be right.

An End That Anticipates the Fall

Shauna says she goes for a soda but runs away to Virginia alone. He carries his forest knife in his backpack. Do you plan to murder Alex? Or protect a darker secret? Meanwhile, fans speculate: Is Hannah the mysterious pit girl we saw in the first season?

A Conclusion That Does Not Give Respite

This episode breaks with everything. Long-awaited secrets are revealed, alliances are reconfigured, and the most stable characters begin to collapse. Van, I could be dying; Lottie has already crossed all limits, and Shauna seems increasingly dangerous. The clock is ticking, and the final big hunt seems inevitable. Are we ready for what lies ahead? Because everything indicates that the worst has not yet arrived.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 8

In episode 8 of season 3 of Yellowjackets, everything revolves around Shauna, who begins to lose control both in the past and in the present. Although it seemed that in its adult version, it was the most stable, now we see that the aftermath of the past continues to mark it deeply. The story also progresses with the rescue attempt in the forest, the secrets between the girls who survived, and the moral dilemmas that continue to drag. The lines between reality and the psychological are blurred more than ever, and everything indicates that we are very close to discovering what happened in the forest … and what consequences it continues to have in their current lives.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 8 Ending Explained: Do The Girls Manage to be Rescued?

It all starts with a weird Shauna dream where she sees Jackie shopping at a supermarket while she attends the box. The scene becomes haunting when Shauna sees a lamp full of moths fluttering into the light, as if it were a warning: something bad is to come. Meanwhile, Akilah and Travis try to escape with Kodi’s help, with the plan to go back for the others. They leave a trail of cloth for Misty to find, and indeed, Misty realizes what’s going on. The group reaches them and forces them to return. There’s tension: While Natalie wants to organize a real outing from there, Misty and the other girls fear that Kodi and Hannah will speak when they return to the real world.

Natalie takes command and asks the girls to prepare for a six-day walk. But while they organize everything, Tai has a vision of the “Man without eyes” and tells Van that they must kill Hannah and Kodi to prevent them from ruining their lives. Things get murkier when Lottie starts having visions, Shauna feels weird, and several start to convince themselves that they shouldn’t leave. Lottie, Tai, and Shauna decide to stay, and Shauna even says that no one should leave. Are you losing control? Or are you seeing something that the others are not?

Who Appears at Alex’s House in the Present?

Shauna, at present, sneaks into the house of Alex, Hannah’s daughter … but she gets a big surprise: Melissa —yes, Melissa herself from the forest — also lives there, now under the name Kelly. And she’s alive, well, and with a wife and daughter! After a tense scene with knives in hand, they both sit down and talk. Melissa reveals that she never really died in the woods; he had left a false suicide note and managed to get out on his own. Then she met Alex, and now they have a normal “family life”. She also admits that it was she who sent the tape to Shauna. However, Shauna blames her for everything that has happened to her. Melissa tries to reason with her, telling her that everything has logical explanations, but that only infuriates Shauna more, who ends up biting her arm and ripping off a piece of skin. Worst? He demands that you eat him, or he will reveal his true identity to his family. Yes, this is going to be a mother.

What About Tai and Van in the Hospital?

Meanwhile, in the hospital, Tai lives a very disturbing scene: his two “yos” face each other face to face, one outside Van’s room, one inside. The dark “version” tells Tai that she never really believed and that now she will make the decisions. Van, meanwhile, is dying and needs to be taken to palliative care. Tai tries to end the life of a dying man to use his bed, but he cannot. Still, the man dies naturally seconds later.

What Happens Between Jeff and Callie?

Jeff and Callie finally have a sincere moment as father and daughter. Both agree that Shauna is broken by what she lived in the forest and that she cannot be completely trusted. They go to see the Joels together, but Jeff, instead of pleading, stands up to them. He tells them that his wife is “crazy” but that he loves her like that and that surely they have never had an interesting woman in their lives. Callie, for the first time, is proud of her father.

What Does All This Mean?

The episode leaves many things open, but it also begins to give clues that perhaps much of what we experienced in previous seasons was not entirely real. Melissa suggests that Shauna is paranoid and that many things could have been imagined. The alleged “curse”? The visions? The connection with nature? What if it was all the product of trauma? It is also clear that girls are divided between those who want to keep going and those who prefer to stay in the madness of the forest, where they feel free. Lottie, Tai, and Shauna represent that resistance to return, and now that Shauna is imposed on the group, it seems that we are very close to the moment when everything is completely broken.

What Can We Expect from the End?

With just two episodes ahead, it’s clear that Yellowjackets is on its way to its darkest moment. The situation with Shauna is totally out of control, and everything indicates that violence is going to be unleashed in the present as much as in the past. Will Hannah be the next victim? Will Melissa manage to get out of the encounter with Shauna alive? Will we finally see the origin of “Pit Girl”? Be that as it may, episode 8 has been a turning point: everything is about to explode.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 9

Episode 9, titled “How The Story Ends”, is the prelude to the Yellowjackets season finale, but far from solving doubts, it multiplies them. The group remains fractured, tensions are through the roof, and not everyone will make it to the last chapter alive. The sides between the girls have been marked by fire, and while some continue to believe in Shauna, others think that she has lost her mind. Amidst the madness, Kodi and Hannah become key pieces, but not everyone will survive this ruthless fight for control. Meanwhile, Misty acts as a double agent, and Travis tries to set Lottie up, who seems to be one step ahead of everyone. Attempts to escape are mixed with betrayals, revelations, and much, much blood. Survival becomes a macabre game in which there is no turning back.

Yellowjackets Season 3 Episode 9 Ending Explained: Who Dies, and What Does it Mean for “Yellowjackets”?

In this chapter, we are left with several key characters, and things get more complicated than they were. Melissa, who tries to flee after spitting a piece of her own skin at Shauna, ends up being captured by Van, Tai, and Misty. They take her back home, but Melissa has an ace up her sleeve: she manipulates the chimney draft and slowly poisons Tai and Shauna with the smoke. Van manages to save them at the last second, but the danger remains latent. What seemed like a rescue turns into a tragedy when Van, trying to convince Melissa that she is not a murderer, hesitates to kill her. That hesitation costs her life: Melissa takes the opportunity and sticks the knife into Van’s chest, killing her. A huge loss for the group, which is visibly destroyed. In parallel, Sarah and the children find the cursed VHS with Art the Clown, which gradually breaks the border between fiction and reality, but I will tell you that in another article.

Hannah’s Betrayal and Kodi’s Fall

One of the episode’s most unexpected twists is Hannah’s betrayal. Instead of freeing Kodi, as he looked like he was going to do, he goes over to Shauna’s side and sticks a knife in her eye. Shauna had suspected something was up too, and she was ready. With this move, Hannah secures her place within the “Yellowjackets” group, making it clear that, in this world, loyalty changes in seconds if that means surviving.

Van and Tai: A Salvation That Comes Too Late

The relationship between Van and Tai reaches one of their most emotional moments here. Van, sick with cancer, is convinced that killing Melissa could save her, as if “Wilderness” (wild nature) asked her to. But at the last second, it is contained. This decision leads to death, but it also makes clear that Van has not entirely lost his humanity. In addition, Tai lives a kind of out-of-body experience: Van, while giving him oxygen, gets “the original Tai ” to wake up, momentarily banishing his more psychotic version. This scene is loaded with symbolism that reinforces the connection between the two.

Misty’s Investigation and Walter’s Mystery

Misty suspects that Shauna may be behind Lottie’s death but needs proof. She takes advantage of Walter’s carelessness to snoop on his phone, and what he discovers makes her freeze. Although we still don’t know exactly what he saw, it is clear that things with Walter are not what they seem and that Misty may be about to uncover something much more murky.

What Awaits Us for the End of the Season?

With Van dead and the group divided, options narrow for the girls. The number of survivors decreases, and the question we all ask ourselves remains in the air: Will there be a single survivor?
